Wouldn't it be something (a mini rant)
The governors conference is being held here in Seattle this week-end. The local news is reporting they will be dining with Bill Gates at his mansion on the lake. Wouldn't it be something if instead our politicians dined at Denny's or better yet the local feeding station for the homeless. Whats it gonna take for these guys to get their priorities straight.

Oh by the way there is lots of peaceful protesting going on downtown today. How much you want to bet you won't see that on CNN

No kidding! Their precious tushes couldn't even sit in a limo going through Mercer Island. (for those not familiar with the area Mercer Island is a high rent area)

4. Bill and Melinda's menu
You can be sure they are not going to serve the Sockeye from Lake Washington

Did you see the hundreds of folks in wheelchairs protesting today. That really was uplifting- They came from all over the country to be here this week-end to protest the lack of services and disintegration of community integration programs.

5. Had CNN on earlier and there wasn't anything about it, but
on weekends they seem to have a skeleton crew of the inexperienced running things, so most likely they wouldn't show anything like that.

6. Not surprising
The disabled continue to be the most disenfranchised especially when they protest a righteous cause

8. Yes it sucks-Disabled are invisible everywhere
It is amazing that hundreds of folks rolling through the streets of Seattle wasn't meaningful enough to make the national news. You know if these people started throwing themselves out of their chairs the news would have picked up the violent cripple angle.
