UNFPA and Bu$h Administration: Just saw on ABC News...
I just saw an ABC News a story about two women who are interested in decreasing infant mortality around the world. The organziation was federally funded until Shrub came into to power and cut funding because he felt it promotes abortion. According to ABC News this organization is not interested in funding abortion, but rather reducing infant mortality. Their goal is to raise $34 million dollars, the money they lost in federal funding.

1. If it was anyone but a Republican the headline would be
"Bush Kills Babies By Cutting Funding"

instead the news ignores it.

3. Donate
The Bush admin. is attempting to
1. Claim that prior donations to these UN efforts to assist women and their health were/are abotion related. That is not true.

2. Interfere with population control efforts on the part of the chinese gov't and their choice to limit pregnancies in a country overun with numerous population problems. The Roman Catholic church has been urging US sanctions on these funds for years as a part of their doctrine.

These women have launched a campaign to recieve $1.00 from 34 million people to make up for the US shortfall. If you feel that the health needs of women in third world countries are worthy of US support you may donate via the website or mail your dollar to:

Send a cheque or money order payable to:

34 Million Friends of UNFPA
c/o The US Committee for UNFPA
3800 Arapahoe Avenue, Suite 210
Boulder, CO 80303

Please note that donations sent directly to UNFPA are NOT TAX-DEDUCTIBLE. To make a tax-deductible contribution to UNFPA, please choose one of the following:

Donate on-line through the U.S. Committee for UNFPA, which has 501(c)(3) status.

If you have the time, write your senator or congressman a letter letting them know of your generosity and remind them that in this election year, you invite them to do the same.

My dollar is in the mail, Ladies, ante up!
