But, you need to tell me where Bush screwed it all up. For one thing, I vote totally with my morals. I don't believe in abortion, assisted suicide, gay marriage or any of the agendas the support it. Secondly, the economy is recovering nicely, in fact today on cross fire they were talking about how well it is doing. We have recovered 1 million of the 2 million jobs that were lost (mainly after 911.) Of coure what you read from the media will agree with more because they are as Liberal as he is. The only thing I believe Bush should have done was admit that the data he got was wrong, but you know what. If I had that data I would have done the same thing, because I am not gonna wait for the mushroom cloud to see if it's right..

At least Bush does tell the truth about what he believes. I personally think that the fact that he mentions God and Jesus Christ gets under peoples skin. I respect and admire him for standing up in the face of all the negative press.

First president in decades to execute a federal prisoner.

First president in US history to enter office with a criminal record.

First year in office set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in US history.

After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, presided over the worst security failure in US history.

Set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips than any other president in US history.

In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their job.

Cut unemployment benefits for more out of work Americans than any president in US history.

Set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12 month period.

Cut healthcare benefits for war veterans.

Set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind. (http://www.hyperreal.org/~dana/marches/)

Dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.

My presidency is the most secretive and un-accountable of any in US history.

Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. (the 'poorest' multi-millionaire, Condoleeza Rice has an Chevron oil tanker named after her).

Had more states to simultaneously go bankrupt than any president in the history of the United States.

Presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud of any market in any country in the history of the world.

Removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of congressional oversight than any presidential administration in US history.

Rendered the entire United Nations irrelevant.

Withdrew from the World Court of Law.

Refused to allow inspectors access to US prisoners of war and by default no longer abide by the Geneva Conventions.

First president in US history to refuse United Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 US elections).

All-time US (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign donations.

My biggest life-time campaign contributor presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation).

Spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in US history.

First president in US history to unilaterally attack a sovereign nation against the will of the United Nations and the world community.

First president to run and hide when the US came under attack (and then lied saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1)

First US president to establish a secret shadow government.

Took the biggest world sympathy for the US after 911, and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US and world history).

With a policy of 'dis-engagement' created the most hostile Israeli-Palestine relations in at least 30 years.

Fist US president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.

First US president in history to have the people of South Korea more threatened by the US than their immediate neighbor, North Korea.

Changed US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

Set all-time record for number of administration appointees who violated US law by not selling huge investments in corporations bidding for government contracts.

Failed to fulfill my pledge to get Osama Bin Laden 'dead or alive'.

Failed to capture the anthrax killer who tried to murder the leaders of our country at the United States Capitol building. After 18 months I have no leads and zero suspects.

In the 18 months following the 911 attacks I have successfully prevented any public investigation into the biggest security failure in the history of the United States.

Removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in US history.

In a little over two years created the most divided country in decades, possibly the most divided the US has ever been since the civil war.

Entered office with the strongest economy in US history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down.

5. refutation
The economy sucks. Details in the economics forum or Friday's Stock Market watch thread. What few jobs have been "recovered" are minimum wage service jobs. Those lost were high paying manufacturing and technical jobs, most outsourced.

The only liberal owned media is CBS/Viacom and they're too chicken to stick their necks out (pun intended).

The data was right - the cover page was wrong because Cheney went over and beat on the CIA until they wrote it the way he wanted it.

Abortion is here to stay. The Supreme Court has no intention of addressing Row vs. Wade. If Dubya keeps pissing them off by attemptin to muzzle them, they may change their minds on gay marriage. Assisted suicide isn't even on the radar.

Ever heard of separation of church and state? What would you have to say if Dubya was Muslim?

7. some of it is not easily refutable--
simply because it is OPINION and not facts. You can refute facts--you can't refute opinions. So when someone says--oh that is not important to me--I don't really know how to respond on that particular issue.

Since their opinions seem to be strongly supportive of the right wing, I don't know if it will do you any good to refute the facts (ie about the economy). Oh--and btw the economy was in the toilet long before 911--about 9 months before Clinton left office the dot.coms started failing--and we were already on really shaky ground by 9-11. 9-11 was nearly a fatal blow. Actually, even though many people have felt a pinch, we probably are VERY lucky, many economists thought there would be a great depression.

13. fundy/freeper... forget them
learn to save your time for fencesitters who CAN be converted. There is no hope for har dcore fundy/freepers.

a reply for others, fencesitters, would be

Jesus_ "sell all and give the money to the poor". Mark ten:twenty one. Thus, Jesus closer to the dems., and repubs are clearly antichristian.

Dems differ somewhat from Jesus... Jesus wants holy poverty..like monks...Dems want prosperity for all. Repubs want gobble/starve. 12 million hungry in US today. Bush cutting $350,000 from food stamps in new budget. Bush is antichristian ... Jesus.."feed the hungry".

Economy: digging out of a hole to where one began, is not much of an achievement. Clinton constantly added jobs, till {someone help me with the no.} were added.

econ.: Republicans rerun a bit of the '30's,
dems rerun a bit of '90's prosperity.

8. Use and abuse as you wish
Here's my take:

1) The jobs recovered pay an average of $9K less than the previous jobs, and that's generally after months of searching. There are many indicators that the stock market is heading towards a "correction" meaning that it's going DOWN. Home ownership is up because of low interest rates, but because the economy isn't better and people are hurting, foreclosures and personal bankruptcies are at an all time high. Our national debt is approaching 7 TRILLION DOLLARS, yet Bush wants to cut taxes more, even though no one has EVER cut taxes during a way. Where exactly does he think the money will come from? Our trade deficit is at an all time high too.

2) You're saying that if you had the bad data you would have made the same mistake? Bush's own father decided against proceeding further against Saddam in 1990 because he said that the situation was stabilized and he no longer posed a serious threat. Sure, he was a dictator and is guilty of crimes against his people, but you know what? THAT'S NOT OUR PROBLEM! There are lots of bad regimes around the world that treat their citizens horribly. We can't be the world's police. Going into Afghanistan made sense. The terrorists were Saudis trained in Afghanistan. The Al Qaeda is bad, but it's not in Iraq! What's in Iraq? OIL! If you think that spilling the blood of our soldiers and innocent Iraqi citizens all the the quest of CHEAP OIL is moral, then you live by an entirely different moral code than I do.

3) I vote by my morals too. I don't believe in abortion. I believe in educating people about disease and pregnancy prevention. That means using government funds for birth control and education on the proper use of a condom.

4) Assisted suicide and gay marriage are both currently issues that are addressed at the state level. I see no reason to change that. I thought we were trying to make the federal government smaller. Whatever happened to states rights?

11. Belief
Belief is not logic.
You don't convince one who believes. One may change their belief.
Look at Ghandi or some others and be prepared for many years before another's belief is changed.
I would say that I respect his/her beliefs but they may not necessarily be mine.
Leave it at that and let the other person pursue your ideas.

12. Since the sub-idiot votes TOTALLY on morals, then use the moral hammer
So the dude's morals say he has to vote against abortion, assisted suicide, gay marriage, etc., then ask him about the other moral issues he's supporting: lying to congress, lying to the American people, decieving the world, torturing children, holding people without benefit of charges or due process, sexaully humiliating men, violating the constitution by disregarding treaties (and remind the idiot that any treaty signed by the US is ipso facto part of the constitution that the president is honor bound to uphold), and remind the idiot that Shrubbie McCokeSpoon SWORE ON A BIBLE all of his vows as president.

let's see, what else: eliminating programs that help starving, homeless, low-income, etc. people, including hella lot children. If the subidiot believes that killing a fetus is murder, and if the subidiot feels that morals are the only basis on which he makes a vote, then how can he support an agenda that CAUSES the deaths of thousands of children in the US and helps in the deaths of tens of thousands of children around the world?

How is it moral to vote for a program of privatizing (or eliminating) social security? Or veteran's benefits? Or eliminating the hazard duty pay for our soldiers in Iraq and elsewhere? or not providing our soldiers with things like toilet paper, bullet proof vests, and other equipment they need?

How is it moral to NEVER take responsibility for anything that goes wrong, much of which is the direct fault of Shrubbie's inability to actaully read anything anyone gives him?

And lastly and perhaps most importantly, how is it moral to say that you speak and act with God's full authority? (which IdiotFuckBoy HAS alluded to on a number of occasions).

And I'm sure DUers could come up with a thousand other moral violations of our great, God-chosen best president ever.

Tell this lady, perhaps the negative press is there because he doesn't tell the truth. Tell her that most major news organizations are large conglomerates with very well to do anchors, and corporate heads that benefit greatly from Bush's tax policies, and are in no way "liberal" as the Bush admin likes to portray them.

Ask her why Tony Blair accepted responsibility for flawed Iraqi intelligence, but this man accepts responsilibity for nothing. Ask him why if God talks to him, why didn't God reveal exactly where those WMD's were?

Ask him why if the econonmy is doing so well, why is this man going to leave the Presidency as the first President not to have created a job on his watch since Herbert Hoover, and why is the median wage down from 2000? Why has inflation spiked over the last six months? Why has energy and health costs skyrocketed? And why has he borrowed money from future generations to pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest people today? Ask him why he refused to sign the Kerry amendment forcing wealthy people to sacrifice some of their tax cut to support the war in Iraq, after all, that's just money, those people didn't have to put their children's lives on the line. No, he wouldn't sign the bill with the Kerry amendment, but then hypocritically attacks Kerry for not funding the war by borrowing money from our future generations for a war based on trumped up charges. Is that patriotism or sloganism?

Vote for a man that strips people of constitutional liberties under the guise of national security. It is amazing we have WWI, WWII, the Civil War, the Vietam and Korean conflicts, where THOUSANDS of americans have lost their lives, and a couple of nuts load a few planes with box cutters, and NOW we must give up our freedoms forever under this color coded national security mandate. Bullshit!!!

What the hell is a color blind person supposed to do under this terror alert system? I'm lost!

Tell your friend to read Orwell's 1984...and then tell her to read Mein Kampf and The Prince.

16. Toss 'em a couple of Bible verses
"At least Bush does tell the truth about what he believes. I personally think that the fact that he mentions God and Jesus Christ gets under peoples skin. I respect and admire him for standing up in the face of all the negative press."

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." Matthew 6:5-6

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Matthew 6:25

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 7:21

"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" Micah 6:8

"Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35. For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36. Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38. When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39. Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40. And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42. For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43. I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45. Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me." Matthew 25

By the way, you know Bush's quote, "If you're not for us, you're against us"? Well, he has it backwards. The original is in Luke 9:50: "He who is not against us is for us."

It's a start.

My morals tell me bush*s tax cut for the wealthy which he sold as a "Jobs" program was a big effin lie!

Also since he/she seems to have bought into fuzzy math, if they would loan you $30,000 if you promise to pay them back $10,000 in 3 years and they have to call it a SUCCESS!!

Where did bush* cheney it all up? I think these charts pretty well show he was cheneying things up BEFORE 9/11. I would put it at early November 2000, but it could just as easily be 12/12/2000 or 1/20/2001.

19. Here's a line by line.
But, you need to tell me where Bush screwed it all up.

He squandered a surplus and turned it into a deficit. He came into office focused on missile defense, and poo poohed terrorism up until 911. Then he used 911 as an excuse to get his opposition to lay down like lambs, and used the wave of patriotism as an extreme bully pulpit. Then he went to war based on lies. Then he totally fucked up that war, and made two obvious mistakes:

1. In Afghanistan he moved slow, and without enough force; the enemy got away.

2. In Iraq, he didn't form a strong enough coalition, or an exit strategy, and almost 1,000 American Troops are dead; Al Qaeda has an excellent recruiting point, and the Middle East is more screwed up than it already was, making us look like a nation of corrupt idiots.

For one thing, I vote totally with my morals.

You're a moron. I say we kill you.

I don't believe in abortion, assisted suicide, gay marriage or any of the agendas the support it.

But you believe in killing thousands of innocent babies and civilians in Iraq just because you fucking feel like it, right? Refer to my last answer.

Secondly, the economy is recovering nicely, in fact today on cross fire they were talking about how well it is doing.

Is it? I say this is simplistic, and unrealistic. I will detail why, as if you have the sense to make it worth my time.

We have recovered 1 million of the 2 million jobs that were lost (mainly after 911.)

911 didn't cause the loss of jobs nearly as much as corporate outsourcing, and Bush's ill-advised tax cut's effect on an already weak economy. They listed all the layoffs in the paper, by which company was laying off, and what jobs. Have they done that with the newly created jobs, as in what company is hiring, and what jobs? No. The Bush administration is known for releasing false reports, such as that recent "terrorism lowest in years" report. They have scads of Right Wing think tanks working overtime to crunch numbers so it appears the way they want. You are a moron. I say we kill you.

Of coure what you read from the media will agree with more because they are as Liberal as he is.

This is why I keep saying you should be killed. It's nothing personal; its just that you're not really alive anyway. You have been programmed to belive that the media, which is owned by big giant billionaire corporations would be a bunch of "power to the people" hippy liberals. The very concept is absurd, and the most liberal media, (CBS) regularly posts Right Wing bullshit by Newsmax and National Review writers on their website, and PBS has gone over to the Moonie side as well. You are repeating a phrase you've heard over and over as if its true, but you don't know that, do you? No. That's why you must die. In truth, you're already dead, but still wasting oxygen.

The only thing I believe Bush should have done was admit that the data he got was wrong, but you know what. If I had that data I would have done the same thing, because I am not gonna wait for the mushroom cloud to see if it's right..

You're a moron. I say we kill you.

At least Bush does tell the truth about what he believes.

And that helps the world how? You're a moron...

I personally think that the fact that he mentions God and Jesus Christ gets under peoples skin.

That's because he's in a position of responsibility. If Bush kept mentioning Allah and Vishnu, that would get under YOUR skin. You'd be buying extra cartridges for your Deer Rifle, and looking for a nice tower or grassy knoll to start shooting from. You're a moron. I say we kill you.

I respect and admire him for standing up in the face of all the negative press.

You're a...

Oh, never mind.

-------------------------------------------

schoolteacherpam, I vehemently stood up for you on the "kicked my chair" thread, because frankly, I like you. You've got spunk.

Now, I ask you to wake up. there is no way to refute this Godforsaken imbecile, and their only goal in life is to waste YOUR time. Now, if an imbecile succeeds in wasting your time, that means you're getting your ass kicked by imbeciles.

By the way, I don't really think we should kill him/her. That was dark humor. I'm sure alcohol and inbreeding will take care of them over time. Do NOT refute these people via email.

Your best bet is to spread truth on the open web, in such a way as to show moderates that if they vote for George W. Bush, God will kill a kitten.

20. Please vote your morals.
From the email:

"..because I am not gonna wait for the mushroom cloud to see if it's right.."

Is it moral to take an action that will knowingly result in thousands of deaths, without first making sure that the information you base that action on is correct? Is it moral to break international law to start that action? Is it moral to resort to military action before all other means of solving differences have been exhausted?
