I had a nice suprise today -
I co-hosted a Women for Kerry house party in Lawndale, CA, this afternoon. I was told when I got there that we would be in on a conference call with Senator Edwards. Later someone said they weren't supposed to tell us Edwards was going to be on - just someone from his office. Well the conference call got on the way and Edwards wasn't on it but Kerry was. Of course there were around 8,000 people on the conference call so we couldn't actually ask questions but a few people from other house parties were able too. It was still really cool.

One of the woman at the party showed up on the late side. She had been a driver in Edwards' motorcade from Century City down to Newport Beach (which is in the most conservative county in CA). She said Edwards came around and shook hands with all the volunteers. Needless to say (but I will say it anyway), she was on Cloud 9!

Well that was my day.
