Remember Jeb's new Fundie DCF Chief! "The dudes in trouble.
You guy's remember Jerry Regier, the guy Jeb appointed to run the Department of Children & Families after the DCF scandel that came about because of er lost children? Jerry was a controversial figure because of his Fundie beliefs in how to raise children.....He also attached his name to an essay that states he condones spanking that results in ''bruises or welts,'' decries homosexuality and abortion and states that women should not work outside the home.

Well the MoFo looks like a corrupt Sum A Bitch.

<snip>
TALLAHASSEE -- In this government-dominated city, lobbyists have mastered the art of building relationships at fine restaurants, hunting lodges and even Bible study classes.

But the governor's Office of the Inspector General investigation into the Department of Children & Families is stirring tension and worries among lobbyists. Some say they fear that the improper behavior of others will further damage an already poor public image of the entire lobbying profession.

<snip>
So far, a pair of senior administrators at DCF have resigned, and agency Secretary Jerry Regier has apologized after a high-level investigation into unethical relationships with companies doing millions of dollars in business with the agency. Only a handful of lobbyists for major computer vendors, and only a few state officials, have been implicated. They include personal friends Regier appointed to high posts, and lobbyists Regier has been acquainted with through church and work.

Tallahassee hasn't seen anything like this since the late 1980s, when newspaper investigations and criminal inquiries uncovered the unseemly ways that business interests curried favor from state officials.

Jeb's bro Marvin.... selling software to the state at 30$ a student... then there's this...

http://www.whoseflorida.com/floridians_are_paying_as_republi.htm
>>As a candidate in 1998, Jeb Bush promised Floridians "a new kind of
politics." He has delivered. He and the Republican Party have put out signs that the state is open for business -- private business.

Never in Florida has there been such a link between politics and policy. Never has an administration had to invent so many defenses of obvious conflicts of interest. Never has money become so institutionalized in Tallahassee.<<

6. Tallahassee is quite liberal and progressive. Not one repub
on the city council. We just get a bad rap because the legis meets here and Jeb lives here.

Is there no end to the parade of cockroaches the Bush varmint and the Bush vermin are connected to? Do they ever connect with honesty, integrity and doing the right thing to do because it is the right thing to do?

7. Thanks for posting - however
this is almost a "teaser" because the "unseemly ways" are not really disclosed. I'll stay tuned - and appreciate the information.

8. Here ya go, here is the rest of the story.....
Florida's chief inspector general in Gov. Jeb Bush's office is
investigating a $21 million state Department of Children & Families
contract to fix the agency's problem-plagued computer system and a top
employee's trip paid for by a software company, state Rep. Sandra
Murman said.

Alia Faraj, Bush's spokeswoman, confirmed that a "whistle-blower"
investigation is under way but would not provide details about the
issues under review.

"There is an investigation being conducted by the governor's inspector
general," Faraj said. "It would be inappropriate for us to comment on
an ongoing investigation."

A high-ranking state official, who asked not to be identified for fear
of jeopardizing his job, said he provided information to the Inspector
General's Office that the DCF, under Secretary Jerry Regier, awarded a
$21 million computer contract to American Management Systems, a
Virginia company in which former Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating was a
board member. Regier served in Keating's cabinet before coming to
Florida in 2002 and Keating recommended Regier for the DCF job.<snip
