Regime change in IRAN now in Bush’s sights
By Jenifer Johnston
18 July 2004

PRESIDENT George Bush has promised that if re-elected in November he will make regime change in Iran his new target.
Bush named Iran as part of the Axis of Evil along with North Korea and Iraq almost three years ago. A US government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that military action would not be overt in changing Iran, but rather that the US would work to stir revolts in the country and hope to topple the current conservative religious leadership.

The official said: “If George Bush is re-elected there will be much more intervention in the internal affairs of Iran.”

The Iranian government announced this weekend that it had successfully eradicated all al-Qaeda cells operating in the country, but the statement comes as leaked reports from the US September 11 Commission show definite links between Iran and the September 11 terrorists.

The final report from the cross-party inquiry, which is examining the origins of the September 11 attacks, is believed to contain concrete evidence of contacts between al-Qaeda and Iran.

Time magazine reports that at least eight of the hijackers, who lived in the US for months before the attacks, passed through Iran between October 2000 and February 2001 apparently with help from the Iranian authorities.

a handful of al-Qaeda morons probably bribed a couple of flunkies at a border crossing so let's nuke the whole damned country. Especially in light of the fact that we kept such meticulous track of their later activities once they were within our borders.

2. Let's spread our failed war policy throughout Asia
After all, no one in Washington is going to fight it or pay for it, but we will.

4. assuming bush* is RE-Selected...
how would an IRAN invasion go over with the people?

Our intel agencies have not been too accurate with their info regarding Iraq

and there is some evidence the intel that was provided had been "hyped" by the WH

so how accurate and TRUE is this latest blather? Will we be fooled again?

6. The Reagan/Bush team have another mess to clean up in Iran...
...and I can see the 'old relationships' at work again. Keep in mind that most of GWB* staff are leftovers from the Reagan/Bush administrations and they have to go back (as they did in Iraq) and blow up the remaining evidence/witnesses of the Reagan/Bush 'business' relationships with terrorists.

- As many DUers know by now...Korea, Iraq and Iran have absolutely NOTHING to do with the war on terror. As in Iraq...they have to INVENT reasons to attack and then depend on the WEAK opposition not to call them on it.

- Perpetual war is the name of the game. You know the Players.

7. Just forget about Iraq...lets move on to Iran, Syria...so many countries
left to conquer... /sarcasm

If we get 4 more years of Bush, he'll just sent our troops over to Iran. Hey, they are already in Iraq anyway...why not just send them across the border?

Now that they announced that it was Iran who had contacts with al Qaeda, and that some of the 9/11 hijackers apparently where in Iran before they came to the US (at least that is what the "Intelligence" is saying, so we know it is true), Americans will just roll over and support Bush's "war on terror" ...

This incompetent moron and his immoral chicken hawks must NOT be re-elected. He is a danger to America and the world.

8. Bush policy is a cancer spreading thoughout the
world, but mainstream America seems to be blind to his plans for domination, subjugation. All he has to do is to invoke God and he's hailed as a savior if not the savior. I'm being drained of all the enthusiasm and optimism I had post Edwards. What can be done?

9. The polls look good and Kerry needs to be more agressive
People need to know that if we get 4 more years of Bush, we'll have another war. Most people already think invading Iraq was a bad idea. I don't think they want our soldiers to go across the border to invade Iran.

We just need to make sure that people understand that Bush's next target is Iran. Moveon.org should make an ad about that.

10. Hints that the "War on Terror" is a myth--really a war on non-Christians
Bush is a crusader. How many more times will he need to tell us this before we believe him?
