1. Hail to Virginia!
I've had some surprising encounters in Arkansas, as well-from people who I figured to be Republicans. They can't stand Bush and what he's doing to our country.

4. Welcome to DU MadChatter! Keep talking to the nonbelievers. They
can be persuaded to think instead of blindly follow * into the abyss.

5. my experience.
Walking into my building the other day there were two older men - crew cut type, if may generalize based on hairstyles - standing there.

I was wearing my "anybody but bush" shirt, and one of the fellas nodded at me and said "We need more of that if we're going to fix this country," while the other one nodded and said, "Amen."

I know you can't judge a book by it's cover, and these guys looked to be electral contractors or something, so maybe they were big union men. But if you were just to look at them, you'd think "Republican for sure."

Either I've got to learn to stop pre-judging people based on their appearance, or Bush is in deep trouble. Oh wait... I guess that'd be both!

Cheers.
