1. I'm sorry you haven't seen it yet. Michael Moore did |
|
say that he didn't mind People downloading it as long as they weren't doing it to make money. I know he just wants People to see the freakin' thing!

2. A single showing is not uncommon.... |
|
...when a film has been out as long as F911 has.
Movie theaters have a limited number of screens, and have to "budget" them. To make room for films that the theater has contracted for well in advance, sometimes a theater will "split" a screen, showing two (or more!) different films at different times in the same auditorium.
When this happens, sometimes one film gets the short end of the stick times-wise. For example, if the theater doesn't want to drop either "Harry Potter" or "F911" yet, but needs to make room, the "R" rated film will be pushed to later showings. So the PG (or PG13) film will be shown in the afternoon and early evening, and the R rated film will be shown later.
Look at it this way: the owner could have dropped it outright, but held it for another week to at least make it available still, even if only for one showing. Don't criticize them, THANK them!

Some people don't know how the business works, and it's my job to educate them. :)

3. Noticed that today, too |

It has one showing at the theater on I-40 and is no longer at the one on the E-way. My husband HATES to go to the movies, so I haven't seen it yet myself. I'll wait for the video and watch it with him.
