Does anyone here read "Mallard Fillmore"?
On Mother's Day he heaped praise on his mother for quitting her job so she could stay home and raise him herself...."Instead of stashing me away on someone's (Daycare) shelf." She also taught him "values". Too bad he is unaware of the destruction of the middle class, instigated by Reagan, which forced many women to work just to survive. I'll bet plenty of mothers would love to stay home rather than "stashing their kids", but have little choice in the matter. This man, Bruce Tinsley, makes me sick!

2. The most ridiculous attempt at a comic strip ever printed
"Comic Strip" implies there will be some attempt at humor, and this strip has none whatsoever. I have no problem laughing at a joke (at Democrats' expense) if it's funny. But most right wing "cartoonists" don't seem to get it. Instead, they just try to recycle hate radio scripts through a fucking duck.

3. Very Conservative. One of those mystery Republican Con Jobs
you wonder why the Average Joe falls for. They know they can't afford to have one parent stay home, but they pretend it is the "liberals" who are making this happen rather than rich corporations forcing EVERYONE to work outside the homes to survive.

4. I glance at it on the way to Boondocks
To see what dogmatic Republican crap he's spewing.

Didn't it used to actually have a story line or something?

5. Hell, No
But then I silently boycott even the pablum "Family Circus" because about 10 yrs ago it showed the dad in a hammock (white shirt, slacks, shoes/socks, glasses, of course) with a portable radio, and the girl saying to the boy, "Shhhh. You KNOW we can't make noise when Daddy is listening to Rush (LIMBOsevic)."

8. Does anyone read Mallard Fillmore?
No. Actually it's hard to believe they let that drivel in the "liberal Press".

11. Mallard Fillmore?
MALLARD FILLMORE?????

That is an insult to talented cartoonists everywhere!

There are EXCELLENT, unpublished cartoonists going hungry, and yet Mallard Fucking Duckwit gets published?

THIS is the singular sign that we are doomed.

Mallard Fillmore is a sign of the Apocalypse.

By the way, "Family Circus" was one of the first signs.

Do you know what a comic strip is?

It's an attempt to show some humor.

"Get Fuzzy." Read "Get Fuzzy."

"Get Fuzzy" is one of the signs that we are NOT doomed.

"Get Fuzzy" is a small sliver of hope in a world of despair.

14. Mallard Fillmore is nothing more than...
affirmative action for conservatives - Since so many people think Doonesbury is some kind of liberal strip, most papers think they need to bring in a "conservative" voice to the comics. Since there aren't any that are actually funny or relevant, they've only got this to turn to.

15. Used to think the claim that conservatives were humorless turds
was just a cliche until I encountered Mallard Fillmore...

What's astonishing is that the wingnut drawing it doesn't even seem to have a clue as to how a joke might be structured...not that he ever has anything approaching "humor."
