CNN poll: Should the US postpone the election?
My God. Shameless!

Should the U.S. postpone the presidential election in case of a terrorist attack?

5. Postponing the elections would be a
lose-lose situation for the American people: Bush would stay in power just long enough to find a way to perpetuate himself permanently, and the terrorists would win because they stopped the democratic process in America dead in it's tracks!
:puke: :puke:

15. Not only that but it would suggest that
Bush is "in charge" of America's destiny and a lot of sheeple would vote accordingly for Shit-for-Brains.

3. As usual, Bushco backing off crazy idea
when something doesn't poll well, they back down. Flip flop. I think they do it just to see if they can get away with it.

4. It is really such a vague question.
Attacked where? When? Postpone how long?

7. I'd like to meet the 62 people that said yes
And ask them for forced sterilization so they don't pass their ignorant DNA into future generations

11. I think you are jumping to a conclusion...

If the 'terrorist' attacks where held in key Democratic strongholds I'd say that there might be a case for postponing the election; for a very short time period.

9. I see its 97% no with 2000+ votes cast
I don't know how that would look in a scientific poll, but I'm sure the figure opposed to a postponement would remain high.

That has got to reflect the distrust of the Bushies that has been present since the coup d'etat of 2000 and probably means there is an increasing distrust of him for allowing this kind of talk.

10. I don't think we need to worry about this one being freeped.
Freepers think it's an awful idea as well.

14. I am always surprised when we Americans are able to agree about anything
97% suggests we are fundamentally inflexible about the importance of elections. I'm glad.

Now how do we get that percentage of those eligible to vote?
