we need to prosecute CA energy traders for domestic terrorism
Think about it.

If a "terrorist" (i.e. brownskinned person from another country) did to the state of California what these energy traders did -- i.e. shut down power plants, force blackouts in urban areas resulting in traffic collisions, deaths, much hardship, and fear ...

They would be calling for their heads. They would be prosecuted under the full extent of any sort of terrorism laws we have on the books.

Why aren't these white boys being arrested and sent to Gitmo?

We need to make some noise about this.

The CA energy "crisis" was the first example of Bushco fucking Americans up the ass. The first proof that Bushco is the biggest terrorist organization in the world.

1. You've got it right
the reason there is not prosecution is that rich white people perpetrated this fraud. Not poor brown skinned people.

2. agreed-and, pls spell out how deaths
Edited on Sun Jul-18-04 06:55 PM by oscar111
good post. I see those on respirators being quietly killed by outages, never reported. What ways did you have in mind?

any estimate on how many died?

any media articles with "professional" estimates? I dont need them, but fecesitters would , to really buy my point.

How many million person-hours were the outages? that is a good beginning for estimates of deaths.
Then, use the % of usa population on respirators. then, refine for some having generators, etc.etc etc etc.

Wondering what maggrwaggr comes from? wag a mag? whats a mag? LOL

Terrorism might be too exotic for most DA's. how about easier rap to level at them=== Premeditated murder or premeditated negligent homicide, hundreds of counts? Crippling a city is obviously premeditated harm/death to scores. Anyone could predict deaths when thousands of elders on respirators are suddenly without electricity. A teenager, 17, could predict that.

3. people driving through intersections when streetlights went out
instant wreck - BOOM - people killed.

I remember it well.

As far as the name, it's a nickname of my old dearly beloved dog.

6. might get them on willful negligence
but what venue and which prosecutor would go after a potential goldmine of campaign contributions, should he have political aspirations?

4. I think so many people need to be prosecuted for these
crimes yet they are still around and many have gained additional power. We need to break them financially and do it legally. I just don't know how. It's much too complicated.

7. what's complicated about it?
We have them on tape, ordering that power plants shut down, and the other voices agreeing to do it.

It's the biggest smoking gun you can imagine. It's right there.

If a "terrorist" had done this, can you imagine the uproar? If we had their voices on tape, knew who they were?

My god,, we'd all want to behead them.

So why aren't we going after these people as terrorists?

Their acts were, by any definition complicated or uncomplicated, domestic terror.

10. I guess when I said we, I meant we the people. I don't see our
elected leaders doing anything so it does come down to we the people and quite honestly, just doing these posts to shake up things a little is the most I can do right now. It seems to be the most we ordinary folks can do. The rest is writing to reps, phoning them and voting. Beyond that I am at a loss about what to do.

12. somehow I think if the authorities had my voice on tape
authorizing a deliberately dishonest action that caused the deaths of people and led to the extortion of gazillions of dollars, I think I could expect a knock at my door.

So maybe we should write those letters.

Hmm, here's the State of California Attorney General webpage.

http://caag.state.ca.us/

This guy's name is Bill Lockyear.

Looks like he'd be on our side, doesn't he? (right)

Here's the webpage to supposedly e-mail him:

Here is other info:

13. Here's what I wrote them. Feel free to borrow, steal, edit, rewrite
I'd like to report a murder.

So far noone has been charged.

Yet we know who the guilty parties are.

Back in 2001, if you recall, we had huge power outages across the state.

People died when streetlights went out in intersections, and the innocent drivers collided and were violently killed.

We now know that those outages were caused deliberately, wantonly, and recklessly, by people whose voices we have on tape.

We have the confessions on tape of people whose actions got people killed.

This is, at the very least, manslaughter.

At the most, it's domestic terrorism.

What are you doing about this?

Are you prosecuting these people? Are you prosecuting them for domestic terrorism?

Imagine if a brownskinned muslim had done this. Imagine the outrage. Imagine if we had the muslim's voice on tape taking great pleasure in shutting down huge portions of California's power grid with no warning.

Imagine if we knew who the guy was, where he lived, and how to go get him.

Well, we do know all of these things.

What are you doing about this?

We need to know.

Sincerely,

An outraged American and citizen of California,

5. Sure, in an even partially just world...
but good luck ever doing that, as fucked up and rigged as the Imperial Justice System is, with an Imperial Family Crony.

Why aren't they being arrested?

Two reasons.

1) The Corporate Personhood Laws allow them to commit these horrific crimes seperate from their Private Selves (which is total bullshit)

2) Their Imperial Pals, like in the case of Kenny-Boy, might reluctantly go after you, dragged kciking and screaming, but no way can you get them to initiate an investiagtion against an Imperial Crony on their own,

These stories, of course, were told once and NEVER revisited, even though they deserve to be so more than Laci Petersen, et al.

Living in a Totalitarian Nation, even a "kinder and gentler" one.
