The Neo-Cons are simply desperate |
|
I can't think of any other reason why they are making issues of such non issue material:
From Texas Senator John Cornyn's Box Turtle fetish, to the Whoopigate, to the Drudge reports issue on Kerry's wrinkles (or no wrinkles...Ooooo!!), it's easy to see that they have no real issue to stand on. They're running scared!

1. They are just throwing a lot of mylarized chaff in the air, so to speak. |

http://www.geocities.com/itm4usg/countermeasures.htmlConfusion. Obfuscation. Red Herrings. Muddying the waters. Orwellian twisting of language. These are the things the Modern Amerikan Bushevik Totalitarian desires. They are throwing a metaphorical cloud of ink in the water.

... but, rather, intention. Gore lost, in part, because he wore "eath-toned" clothes, and lied about his accomplishments. Same ol', same ol', right out of the Atwater/Rove playbook. Remember the intern flap early in the year? Same, same. It will be this way until November.
Meanwhile, the Bushies are committing felonies left and right.

4. don't misunderestimate them |

when the media is on your side, you don't need issues to win. you only need image.
"meaningless" tripe like wrinkles and whoopigate chips away at image.
and baseless assertions that shrub is a strong leader and good for keeping america safe works to build his image too, no matter how idiotic it is.
come november, people may not even remember WHY, but they just have this FEELING that bush is a stand up guy and good for america, and kerry is hard to pin down on an issue and seems out of touch or whatever.
they might like kerry's POLICIES better, but nobody (i.e., the media) has been talking much about them, so people think that doesn't matter, but character (image) does.
take what they're doing SERIOUSLY and fight back on THEIR turf.

We have to be active and vocal daily. Not just here in the comfort of DU, but everywhere we can and even places where we can't be. Send email of your outrage to the media, congress, etc. Write letters to your newspaper (for those that still get it that way.)
Boycott corporations that profit from the Iraq war or seek to silence free speech.
P.S. FBI Carnovore, I don't have any bombs or know of anybody with bombs. Please don't sodomize me in error.

6. I got into a short discussion at a car show today... |
|
This guy made the comment: "Kerry is too liberal" I asked: "What has he done that's so liberal"
....several seconds of blank look, then he moved on to the "87billion vote"
Hahahaha...This guy heard Hannity's repetitious talkin points, but he did't know any details.
After I explained the 87B vote to him, he started on Heinz Catsup...this went on until I got tired of it.
No wonder they're concerned about Kerry's wrinkles.

7. You are confusing the Neocons who dominate Bush* foreign policy |

with the political folks who control the election and Republican politics - as embodied and coming to a nexus at Karl Rove.

9. The problem is, many Republicans are not informed enough |
|
to see through the BS. Hopefully, some of them can fight their way through this smokescreen of non-issues, and come to the decision that Bu$h really does not have their best interests, or the best interests of our country, in mind in his policies.
I really wish Republicans would join us in our fight to stop Bu$h totalitarianism.
Democrats have a big tent, we are genuine patriots that desire a government that is based on fact, truth, and individual freedom, and the bottom line is: we want what is best for the majority of Americans, whether they are middle class, rich, or underpriveleged.

They set up the RW Media Monster years ago just for this purpose. They PLANNED for this. What worries me is plan B... which is already in the works.
