The Pubs are using a ruse, a distraction, a ploy, in forming
the debate of the Presidential Election on minutiae issues. The Dems allow the ploy to work by not responding in like kind....

Instead of defending positions on Gay Marriage, right to life, etc issues.... which is what the Pubs want us to do.....

The Dems should fire a volley of Higher Issues and in a way to frame the higher, more important, debate. Subjects are The Overview of Bushes Credibility, his lacking stewardship of this Nation, the lack of warning to America after he got his Aug 2001 warning, etc.

The Dems need to frame the attack, not the Pubs...they would have us talk about BS crap ad infintum

1. Good advise. We'll see soon enough.
I think Kerry has wisely been biding his time until the convention. (He's been letting the crook hang himself.) If it doesn't happen there, we have to hope for the shite to hit the fan in the debates. If it doesn't happen there, we are lost.

2. Ding Ding Ding...We have a winner
To borrow a football metaphor, the best defense is a good offense. Or, for another cliche, he/she who controls the topic controls the debate.

But on the bright side I think that the addition of Edwards adds many socio-economic issues that the Reps don't want to deal with. Social conservatives have traditional lost to populist, and that is what Edwards brings to the ticket. Let us all hope they utilize it to the best effect.

3. The Brown Shirt Media whores toil into the late night to denigrate
Kerry/Edwards...

They are relentless in their disparaging attacks...

Lacking a solid game plan... the Pubs rely on the bluff...the feint.

The Media follows as does the OX with a ring through the nose. We have lost control of a parasitic Evil in our midsts and are not sure of what the hell to do...

I say CHARGE....GO FOR BROKE....TAKE NO PRISONERS.....IF WE LOSE...WE WILL HAVE NOTHING... WE MUST WIN.....

4. Kerry
Will only respond to Bush or launch higher issues when he worries an anybody but Bush vote won't carry him to the white house.

Until then there is no need to be tied down to promises or ideology.

5. There can be a time when the TOO LITTLE TOO LATE may apply.
Kerry should reveal his plans at the convention.. take the issues to higher ground where the Pubs have none.. Kill um with the big issues... the Pubs use Neg ads only because it worked for them in the past and have nothing else....they have no positiveness. They are a whiney bunch...

Come, beer thirty,,,, ribs are hot and juicy...

6. to paraphrase the old "Wendy's" burger ad - Where's the beef?
"Where's bush*'s accomplishments?"

"Where's bush*'s agenda?"

as I quipped to a neighbor "bush* not only doesn't have a roadmap, he's not even on the road."

7. He has made his friends and Backers rich beyond belief.....
he has no plans other than to continue the existing strategy of Control and Domination by any means, legal or near legal...

However, the NeoCons have fucked themselves into a corner...the Bush Corner...along came a spider spinning a web of lies and distractions....

F9/11 movie is fly in the ointment....Neocons going berserk as the movie set records///// they are very appalled for the lack of a counter...all they can do is yell "propaganda". Now, expecting worse case scenario, they speak of suspending the elections....later on..we will find this to be permament... too little, too late...we sheep will be flummoxed. Remember the Milgram Report..Americans will shoot other Americans....

Bush is leading us Americans down a very scarey road... of no return...

8. opi, do you think there'll even BE any bu$h debates?
Yeah, I know bu$h's handlers SAY there will. But they must know that their Lesser Ape is going to get mangled pretty good IF he's allowed to appear on the same stage with Kerry.

I can't see bu$hie showing up at all--the War On Terra will suddenly call him away.

9. The war on terra will call him away and......................
the terra might even be in the very spots the debates are to take place! If the debates go forward the mods will prolly be Rush or Hume! Bush would be burnt toast in a stand up debate with Kerry or Edwards! My dog would probably hold up better tha Shrub would!

We need to keep the spotlight on Bush's deeds! Bush HAS a record this time!

12. Indeed the results of his "deeds" should be shown in such a way
for easy digestion. Dalys approach is one way, ala the flash card route....

The War on Terror, illness, and, some other excuse, can very well be the cause of Bush not showing up for a scheduled debate.

If fact, the debates, if any, will be negotiated in Bushies favor, as they were with Gore...

A true debate is verbal punch and counter punch, questions and answers off the cuff....we see this on PBS in the House of Commons in the UK...Tony Blair, they hold his feet to the fire, but the man somehow talks his way out...Bush would be TOAST ....

Come, we go hunting....for good ideas on how to make America Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise.

13. dbt, read my response to you and Hubert below....
I fear the same, bush will find excuses to not show up at the podium.

There must be a way for him to feel compelled to participate, like there is no choice.....or be given a white feather....a sign of a coward....

But, as we type this, the Pubs murmur of suspending the election due to Terror...while the Shrub is describing America as Safe...apparently, we Can have it Both ways in the PUB World...

George Custer Bush and his NeoCon Troops are surrounded on a tiny knoll taking fire from 10,000 nasty Dems using pesky weapons of Truth and Cannons Common Sense.

Bush Co will soon be desperate to shift gears..... we must anticipate their every move.,,, deny them sleep, deny them access to water, deny them any respite..... To conquer evil is not easy, look how long it took in all of our wars dating back 10,000 years... and BTW, sometimes, Evil got the best of Sanity/Truth...at least for the Day....

Come, we go wish for better Days....

10. What the 'Pubs' want...
...is for Democrats to finally stop debating these issues...pretty much the same way the GOPers got Dems to stop talking about the 'war on drugs' by accusing them of being 'soft on drugs'. Dems simply backed away instead of taking the initative and redefining the debate.

- Why not debate ALL these issues? Can't we chew gum and walk at the same time? We can use Bush's* lack of credibility against him AND debate issues of concern to Democrats and their supporters.

11. Q ......"Lack of credibility agaunst him...." Yes, one of the main issues
The Kerry Boys can take a lesson from Moore, use ther flash card approach.... WAM, Daly used it too in "Talking points".... people have short attention spans.... use short messages... sound bites worked well for the Pubs... so can it work for anyone.

Dems must pick the issues carefully and CHARGE......GO FOR BROKE...
