So the idiot Bush attacked the wrong country
Watching MSNBC today they report Iran has done more to help AlQaeda than Iraq. This alone is enough for this idiot to go.

2. Couric to Woolsey~"Did we attack the wrong country?"
Woolsey had been getting softballs to that point and reiterating all the old arguments for the war. He seems to have reached some sort of 'end justifies the means' in that the invasion, er I mean the liberation of Iraq has made them FREE and us safer.

Couric is going along with it and then she points out the findings in the Senate report (or was it the 9/11 commission?) and asks Woolsey-"So, did we attack the wrong country"

Woolsey looked like a fish out of water. Stammering and looking off to the side like he wanted to tag out....and then went back to the "Iraq is liberated" stuff.

7. What pisses me off
Is NBC hired this Woolsley guy before the Iraq war and never told us that he was helping with the war. NBC should have told us this. This explains why he was on NBC everyday trying to sell the war. SHAME

4. Matt 'Pantload' Drudge "thinks" there are more pressing issues.
He also claims that "America needs answers" to the great Kerry Botox mystery. http://www.drudgereport.com/kerrybb.htm

I encourage everyone to go to Drudge and tell him what you think of his "journalism" in that 'news tip' box in the lower righthand column. I do so on a nearly daily basis.

10. What's odd is that Clarke's book pointed all of this out
We came this close to attack IraN or at least unleashing some military whoopass on them three times during the Clinton administration.

In Joel Kline's interview with Clinton a few weeks ago Clinton tells of telling Bush personally that the threats to the US were going to be -alQaeda/OBL, the Middle East situation, Pakistan and the Pakistani/India conflict, Iran, and THEN Iraq (no Time link available anymore-I just read it)

This is nothing new. IraN established and supports Hezbollah as well as other TERRORIST organizations.

11. Question for DUers about this:
Edited on Mon Jul-19-04 08:34 AM by Ron_GreensboroNC
Suppose it turns out that Iran did have a significant role in helping Al Qaeda, particularly with the 9/11 plot. Would you support military action against Iran? If not, what other measures?

On edit: Suppose, too, that they have WMD (which is much more likely than Iraq having them).

12. FACT: Bin Laden views the Shia faith as a heresy!
I cannot imagine why a fundamentalist wacko like Bin Laden would ally himself with the mullahs of a faith that is viewed as a heresy, not just by him, but by many other Wahabi Muslims.

We are being fed the same propaganda about Iran that we were fed about Iraq, by the same cast of neocon characters.

Fool me twice?

17. OBL also hated Saddam Hussein.
He considered him the worst type of infidel, not only a Shiite, but he smoked and drank, which is a BIG no-no to a fundamentalist wacko like OBL.

20. Absolutely...NOT.
there are no "mulligans" when it comes to fucking goddamn WAR.

as far as if they have WMD- they do. Iran and Iraq both used chemical weapons(that we supplied to both sides- go figure) against each other in their little border skirmishes in the 1980's(where hundreds of thousands died in "human wave" attacks, ala WW1). That's why, surprise, surprise,- the Iraqi military were all supplied with nice new chemical warfare suits that were found during our illegal invasion- NOT because Saddaam was planning on using them.

As far as nuclear weapons of mass distraction- so what if they have them? we have them, and we're the only country to have used them against another country in anger- we have no fuvking right to say who can and can't have them. if fucking israel can have them, fucking Iran should be able to as well.

Going into Iran would be a serious fucking mistake- so you can count on the Illegal Bush Regime & Military Junta to do just that. If, between BBV and his poll numbers falling to a point where the theft of another election might be infeasible- I fear for the planet.

13. MSRNC beating the drums
for war with IraN.

They had their military expert on this morning to tell the viewers that Iran was THE MOST serious threat to the United States.

They conveniently left out that annoying little fact that WE INVADED IRAQ and pounded the hell out of the threat from IraN.

LOL...immediately segued into LACIKOBYMARTHA mode.....

a third. You know, you don't invade countries for the acts of a few alleged criminals.

18. No country should have been invaded because of 9/11
The attack was a great crime & should have been handled as such.
