1. Well, it looks like we've got 247 EVs in the bag
So all we'd need to pick up is 23 from either "Really close" segment. And two of those are Iowa and Wisconsin (17 EVs), which I feel we're definitely going to win. It's looking good folks! Can't wait for that convention bounce (which is always stronger for the challenger than the incumbent).

10. You're right ---
-- and I'm not even sure that the incumbent will experience _any_ bounce this time around. They fucked up and scheduled their convention in NYC right before 9/11, back when it looked like the "war on Terra" was going to be THE winning issue -- now it looks like a liability. And we'll also make sure that what's going on _outside_ of the convention, on the streets, is too big to ignore.

2. Site is ran by a Republican though
http://www.electionprojection.com/bloggingcaesar.html

As you would probably guess by now, my politics are conservative, especially socially. Even though I would like President Bush to be more fiscally conservative, I believe he is as good as it gets for America's top job among this imperfect species we call our own. This country needs him to be president until 2008, and he needs our prayers daily.

8. He's a republican but it don't matter.
I've followed that site for a while now and I think he keeps his own politics separate. He doesn't even REALLY plaster them other than his one link to the 21 reasons Bush will win thing...after that it's good. Site gives me hope so far. Just imagine how good that map will look in a few months if some of thos light pink states are turne dblue as well.

4. Not only that, the dude that runs the site calls himself "a huge supporter
of the President"--and he's not being sarcastic . . .

5. I really hope Bush loses Florida and Ohio.
Of all the states, those are the two I want him to lose the most.

11. I don't understand why some people...
...insist on painting the Democratic states red and the Republican ones blue... There's a pretty widely accepted convention of dem=blue and gop=red, and even the vernacular terms "red states" and "blue states". But yet, every now and then I see websites that at first confuse me, because I see a big blue Texas there and I go "hm... We can't be doing that good yet, can we?"
