Question about the GOP Convention plans for Ground Zero...
I heard at one point that Bush will give his acceptance speech at Ground Zero. If this is true, are there plans to have thousands of demonstrators block the area around Ground Zero so that no one can get in? I know there are millions of people who are absolutely disgusted by the idea of policizing 9/11 by using Ground Zero as a stage, and it would be wonderful if enough people gathered there to disrupt any plans the GOP has to exploit the site, and to protect the dignity of those who died there.

2. Highly doubtful.
Not that aWol is above it--he isn't.

But it wouldn't work logistically. And the Secret Service would never allow it.

3. I think that plan was abandoned a while back,
due to public outrage. And I think that even Mayor Bloomberg (R) didn't like the idea. But I'm not 100% sure.

5. In Worse than Watergate
it is stated that Bush's presidency is all about photo and staged moments.

I would NOT be suprised, to see him try something!

If he does try to use ground zero...I hope he steps into a sink hole of SHIT

6. The reason why NY was chosen was because they thought they
would get a huge welcome here as the 'war on terror' party. They had plans to milk 9/11 for all it was worth. But even the evil Rove could not have envisioned the rude awakening they are in for.
I don't think they'd be foolish enough to attempt to go anywhere near ground zero.
