TUCKER TOTALLY ASHAMED and embarrased by NH dem campaigner!
Edited on Mon Jul-19-04 03:48 PM by LittleApple81
The woman campaign manager from New Hampshire "Slamming"
Tucker Carlson... called him an embarrassment when he tried to talk about Kerry's money or some such thing (sorry, not paying 100% attention)...She chased him off...Begala intervened because otherwise Tucker would have had to start running.
She said people should be informed about issues and that Tucker should take advantage of his position as a journalist to inform people and not sputter silliness.

1. And now she said that Bush is co-opting Kerry's approach of going
to other countries and trying to get support!

38. I think she worked for Dean
She went after ole Tucker when he asked that windsurf question.

"Why do you people do this? Talk about the issues, not this carp"
The above was a paraphrase, but basically when she went after Carlson. LOL It was a sight to behold, and music to my ears!

9. Frankly I'm sick of these political games...
I'd much prefer if people just answered the questions they were asked. Both sides do this unfortunately.

27. Well, the problem is
when their questions are nothing but games and distractions.

Like the Lady said, he was trying to divert people into thinking about ridiculous nonsense. She was trying to get back to issues that matter.

When you consider that that tactic is 99.99999999999% of the Republican playbook, you begin to see the necessity of not even acknowledging their stupid nonsense and instead just continually attacking them on the issues.

It wasn't a game except on wise ass Tucker's side, and he got called on it.

Edited on Mon Jul-19-04 03:52 PM by Sparkly
Because that's exactly what Tucker said as she began answering his second, much more humbly-asked question about the differeces between Kerry and the Chimperor.

She answered his question.

She talked about how important it is to have a plan going FORWARD, and stressed that Kerry has a plan, a much better one than Smirks. What part of that didn't you understand?

Edited on Mon Jul-19-04 04:33 PM by Terry_M
What difference will there be between the candidates on Iraq for New Hampshire voters, many of whom have family members in Iraq... She didn't point out any practical differences or say that there were none.
Instead she was talking about how Bush stole Kerry's ideas (maybe true, but we heard that 1 billion times already, and it doesn't really point out the differences to the average voter), and how Kerry won't start anymore wars (again not relevant to Iraq).

to trial lawyers to criticize Edwards because he is a trial lawyer.

The repug campaign manager from NH could not really reply very well to that.... he came with something totally unrelated to this question!

Tucker was hanging his head. Not sure shame ever really entered his mind before. She would not back down. And I loved how Begala had to so obviously rescue him. The Repuge guest was in total shock and didn't have any chance to interrupt.

We need more Dems like her.

Hey Tuck. Just a taste of what the Kerry/Edwards women are going to do to the Reps.

35. Tucker went into the whipped pup mode about halfway through!
I thought he was going to cry! I'm talking, "Gurley Man" Tucker here! That lady spanked the whining whelp, but good and made him do that insane desperate plastic laugh he goes into, when he knows he's been HAD! Sometimes I thik Tucker has a screw loose like the other drooling guy on the right, on Crossfire!

Tucker even makes Bad Bob Novakula look better sometimes, and longing for Bob Nosack's bullshit, is something that's damned HARD for me to do! My guess, is the rain wilted Tucker's "Gurley Man" hair do and caused a large wad in his panties!

Anyway, that's what I call entertainment, she came on like gangbusters! Cheered me right up! Both GOPers looked like they'd been hit by lightning, buy the time that gal was through!

39. this is EXACTLY what every dem op needs to do
cause it's exactly what the pugs have done for years

they NEVER answer a hostile question. they've been TRAINED not to.

they immediately ignore it, then go on the offensive

unfortunately, most of the interviewers let them get away with it

hope they made a training tape for dems of this show

they absolutely need to adopt this tack, and use it all the time

42. You Know...
it was tradition among the Iroquois to let the women vote for the war chief. Men voted for only the tribal chief. That's because they believed women instinctively knew who would send their children to battle for good cause, and who would do the opposite.

Don't mess with the Democratic Women, now. We are fired up....
