Who was the shrew at the end of "Hardball" tonight?
She was defending Swartzenfucker's use of "Girly-boy" (let's not concede and spell it gurly-boy, as the press does) as a throw-back to an old German term (of endearment!?). I tuned in after Jeopardy! (Ken is still winning) to watch Keith Olberman. I saw that tail-end of Tweety. Bull-shit! What a grasp. What a white-wash.

1. Test kick
Strange things with the post. Doesn't show up as one of my recent posts.

5. Actually, I am long-gone from Texas.

I am in the cool-cool mountain log cabin in western North Carolina and in a downtown Greenville, SC, condo (as a permanent address). However, I can usually be found in the mountains. Know what I mean, Vern?

Actually I am not in both places. I am in the mountains. Predictably.

3. What????
An old German term of endearment???

OK I just asked my German husband about that and he looked confused, then rolled his eyes and said "what bullshit".

So there ya go.

6. Girly-boy was from Man Coulter
When the National Review fired him/her, (s)he called them girly-boys.

Girly-man comes from Saturday Night Live's Hans and Franz, which was a spoof of Arnold. He's probably been saving that line for a long time.

7. Sorry, that was parenthetical.
My take on the Nazi-Swartzenfucker's meaning.

OK......

:D

Just had a call from my old friend & first flight instructor just retired from Continental, wants to buy a twin. He likes Barons, I do too but like Cessnas as well. We're thinking of going into a partner thing on one. It'll be an interesting shopping trip. haha
;-)

11. Hi K!
TSTMS. Off and on. But never like OK.

I did Army multi-engine in a Baron 55. I like it and the comparable C-310s about equally as well. I've got a gut feeling the Cessna 310 maintenance might be slightly less expensive. But what do I know? Never owned either.

9. After "Googling" the phrase "Girly-boy" and "Girly-man" ...
I recommend that you not do that, lest you want young Asian women with penises on you screen. Verb sap!

That must be why the press spells it "gurly.". Google that, if you must. I've got to much spam over the transom, as it is.

12. Olberman, I think, played tape from 92, where he said it
very offensively done, then. GHWB was there when he said it. referring to Clinton/Gore, IIRC

got a big reaction from gay/lesbian groups at the time

so this was no spur of the moment deal

not going to help his appeal to broader vote demos; tweet, etal, agreed that Gillespie, who CM asked about, was NOT happy with the comment, as it closes down the big tent gooper campaign
