To the editor:

What a wonderful Sunday morning I had today. My 4-year-old, who is a huge Bush fan, brought me the newspaper very excited because of the front-page article about the Republicans and President Bush (July 11 "Young, politically active-and in support of Bush"). I am a grass-roots volunteer as well. We really can't wait to get over to the headquarters and see how we can help. We are a young family, married under 35 with two children under 5.

I am so proud of the Daily Sun for finally portraying the Republican side. I was beginning to think that the Daily Sun was another liberal paper.

Thank you for the article and our family looks forward to more like this one.

Geesh. The kid hangs out with his parents and likes the same things. My 5 year old son is a Padres fan, but knows nothing about baseball. He just know that when the Padres win, his mom is happy.

It's fairly even, but we are mostly Dem, 55-45% or so. As compared to PHX, which is about .00001% Dem (the governor and maybe you).

The letters in this paper lean Dem too. That Laureen Simpson I posted a letter from the other day was shouted down with 4 letters to NONE in her defense the very next day, with TWO more today against her with STILL NONE for her. And I glance at the Repukelic every day to know that our 4 or 5 usual crackpots can't hold a candle to the HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS which infest your hellish burg.

This letter too, will be shot down, in due haste.
