Six Months
People,

Six months from now... one half of a glorious year...

We can experience the euphoric thrill of George Wanker Bush being escorted out of the White House, and consigned to irrelevant oblivion in Crawford, Texas.

Meat.

Vapor.

Bologna without the mayo!

History!

Through!

Out of here!

A long road ahead until then, but remember what six months can bring.

Six months ago, the fascists were gloating that Saddam's capture would turn the tide in their favor and the public would rally around the Impostor King. The war was just! Watch the insurgencies wither away and fade... into Fallujah and car bombs in Baghdad. Into a puppet government, rampant joblessness, no running water, errant electricity, filthy hospitals. Damaged alliances. No WMD's. No ties to 9-11.

Six months ago John Kerry's campaign was declared DOA. Hardly anyone outside of North Carolina had heard of John Edwards.

Six months ago the annual ritual of the yuletide season was upon us, and the usual stresses and emotional highs and lows accompanied it. All a distant memory now.

Six months!

In six months we can, in the immortal words of Catshrink's signature line, say...

GOODBYE WHISTLE-ASS!

Six months, folks. A real, elected, Democratic president will be sworn in.

Let the Restoration begin.

4. oh cool
I knew she called him Whistle-ass, based on her obituary, but I did not know it was her epitaph. Well, I guess I will never give you credit for anything on DU ever again. ;-)

5. Thanks Zomby!
It will take lots more than 6 months to clean up the mess Bush* has made but just think what 6 months of progress instead of constant outrage will do for all of us. You are so right. We may have to hold Kerry's feet to the fire, maybe not, but at least we will not have to worry like we do now. :toast: to positive thinking and our success!

6. as I said in a piece a few weeks ago...
Neither Kerry or Edwards are saviors. They are politicians and fallible human beings who are bound to fail at times and disappoint us quite often.

But there is always, always the chance they might admit they were wrong once in a while, and that would indeed be refreshing.

:hi:

7. I remember that
piece and I really liked it. As far as I am concerned getting them elected will do wonders for all of our states of mind even if we do not particularly care for them. "Refreshing" sounds so good to me right now, to be able to wake up and not expect the worst or even just another outrage. :hi: back at ya and thanks. You write so well, it is always a pleasure to read your posts.

8. Nice post
But it will be 6 months if elections aren't canceled. These are scary times and I am more scared of Bushco than terrorists.

9. No, send him to Saudi Arabia
He can live happily ever after with his bestest buddy Bandar Bush.

He's a stain on this state. Another moran we don't need!
