Elton John attacks 'censorship' in US
Edited on Tue Jul-20-04 02:41 AM by scottxyz
Elton John has said stars are scared to speak out against war in Iraq because of "bullying tactics" used by the US government to hinder free speech.

5. Except the government isn't doing anything to these people
I suggest Elton stop taking the perception of reality drugs because last I heard it was private concerns that took action against both Whoopi and Linda.

I can support Slim-Fast's decision because they paid Whoopi to be their spokesperson and they have the right to fire her for whatever reason.

The Ronstadt situation, while still within the casino's rights, seemed much more over the top in the response by casino management in stopping the concert and forcing Rostadt to leave the premises.

However, neither situation was censorship or a free speech violation as both Goldberg and Ronstadt are free to express their views in other venues or arenas.
