2. What a ..................
star studded gala! Wayne Newton and ..........well, Wayne Newton, he's a big star! He's HUGE! With Wayne in Bush's corner they've pretty much locked up the slot jockey vote at the Tropicana. What a tool. Babs looks like she's having the time of her life. She can't wait for this to be over so she can hit the bar. What, no girls with trays hawking shooters at this soiree? I bet she could use a drink right about now!

4. Wayne Newton
was blackballed from Branson, MO (not the most liberal entertainment mecca in the world) because of profanity. I find it interesting that he is a Bush supporter-suppose Cheney's performance on the Senate floor inspired him to go over to the GOP?

8. How lame is this?
Can Barry Manifold be far away? How about Niel Sedaka ? Jerry Lewis ?

What has Wayne Newton made popular anyway ? - I don't think I have EVER heard him.

28. Wayne Newton had his 15 minutes in the mid 1960s
Edited on Tue Jul-20-04 10:29 AM by Lydia Leftcoast
He even appeared on an episode of Bonanza. Since then, he's been a lounge act.

I recall one of my high school teachers referring to him as "that boy who sings like a girl."

9. Does he use the same hair spray as Trump?
And not a hint of gray? Amazing. Seriously, that guy looks like he's madeup for the sequel: Night of the Living Dead - Artificially Tanned and Loving It! I give her points for having the stomach to sit next to him. Should be worth a new Mercedes from Daddy.

21. Hope it doesn't get too hot in there.
Wayne's plastic face will melt and run down his chest, like that movie about the flesh-eating bacteria. He's so hip. He's had his face lifted so many times, his navel is somewhere around the knot in his necktie. Woo-hoo, Wayne Newton.
