Whack the Iraq!

I was on the Wildwood, New Jersey boardwalk this weekend, and there was a game set up called "Whack the Iraq". For those unfamiliar with seashore boardwalks, it's a carnival atmosphere with the game hawkers hollering into the crowds to entice you to play. The proprietors were dressed in flag t-shirts and the object of the game was to shoot "Iraqis" with paint ball guns. Sitting on either side of the booth were life size dummys dressed as Osama and Hussein. At first I was amused, but 5 minutes later after I had time to digest the scene, I was angry and offended. I was with my three kids, so I didn't go over and let these guys know of their racist stereotyping and myth perpetuating idea that we are at war with Iraqis. Or even that their dummy of Osama is not an Iraqi. When I got home I called the Anti-defamation league, I didn't know who else to call or what has transpired. Wonder if anyone else thought as I did. Wildwood is a popular destination with foreign tourists, wonder what they think? Why don't we just set up sa game called "Injure the Israeli" or Kill the Korean" Hey, that would go over well.

and their devotees and send them to Iraq for a little "field trip" about what shooting guns at people is all about
