How many Repugnants will be voting twice this year? |
|
Since I live in a town in which tens of thousands of Winter residents go back and forth, I have a serious question. Let's assume that most of the people who own two or more homes are Repukes. Now I haven't done a scientific study, but having lived in a county which has ranged from an 80/20 to about 70/30 Republican majority, I would bet that most of them are not Democrats. You'll have to buy my assumption to follow the discussion. I can tell you everyone of our city or county elected officials is a Republican. Sad, isn't it?
Now on another thread I asked "What keeps Florida Winter residents from voting twice". A former Deputy Supervisor of Elections informs us that nothing at all keeps them from doing this. Apparently, it's all on the "honor" system here in honorable Florida. Now I'm not usually one that goes for conspiracy theories, but I still have nightmares from 2000.
There is an "oath" box on the Florida Voter Registration Form. It states that the person registering swears they are qualified to vote and are a legal resident of Florida. It also says the person can be charged with a felony if caught, but apparently no one would ever get caught, if no one checks, right?
So does this show a small sense of paranoia on my part? Probably. But I've been living under the ugly shadow of two "bushes" for awhile now, and I don't put anything past them.
So how do you like my new hat? :tinfoilhat:

3. Let's follow this a little further, shall we? |
|
So at least one person doesn't think I've totally lost it. Or at least this particular post may have some merit. I can assure that that way more than 537 rich Republicans live in this county. Also, November is a transition month for a lot of snowbirds. I would even venture to guess that at least 537 of these "honorable" folks will be changing their residency to Florida this Fall(for tax purposes of course :)), and wouldn't they think it was cute if they could tell the boys, "hey, I showed them, I voted twice ;)". And what if it became the "little secret" at the club. That would be ocassion for at least a couple martini toasts.

2. A little over the top? |
|
I don't want to rain on your parade. This is a real and troubling concern. Both major parties have histories of voter fraud. "They" have Florida 2000. We have Tammany Hall and Chicago. This might be a topic best left alone unless we want to open that can of worms again.

if a group of people really want to take the job on. It's a job that can be mainly done at HOME with their COMPUTER. It would take a ton of work.
First step.. Snow birds join "snow bird" clubs. Get the a list of those club members.
Check to see how many are localy registered to vote. And if they are registered, what elections did they vote in.
Alot of snow birds OWN snow bird homes. Those home can be checked at the county tax office to see where the tax bills/etc are sent. That would locate the "other" address.
Contact that county sup of elections and see if that person is reg. to vote and if they voted in any of the SAME elections.
Turn over the proof.
Keep a data base of all persons who names have been turned over. So that an update can be done to follow the process after the info has been turned over.
Of course, you really don't have to get the list of snow birds in the clubs. People generaly brag that they are snowbirders. Such snow birders with political stickers would be the ones that I would check first. Like someone with a Michagin Auto tags that is supporting a local race.. hmmmm.... I seen that in 2002, the guy had MI tax and a bummper sticker for JEB! Blahhh!!!!

7. Hell, just run some state voter registration lists against each other. |
|
Focus on the republicans.
If they have the same name as somebody in New Jersey, contest their vote.
Hell, the GOP does it. Why can't we? Who cares if they're the same person. The GOP doesn't care with it's felon purge.
Hell, just announcing this program could probably help call some attention to the GOP's hijinks. One doesn't even need to intend to follow through. Just make sure people who think they might be registered in two places as Republicans think mayby they shouldn't go vote.
