"Bush-Cheney '04 Announces African Americans for Bush"
Words of praise from J.C. Watts, a regular on "Hannity & Colmes" whenever Hannity seeks agreement. Watts generally smiles and nods and replies "that's right, Sean" as Hannity reads off that day's GOP talking points.

http://www.georgewbush.com/News/Read.aspx?ID=3004

Arlington, VA - Today, Bush-Cheney '04 launched its African Americans for Bush National Steering Committee in Detroit, Michigan. The Honorable Alphonso Jackson, former U.S. Congressman J.C. Watts and Actor Joseph Phillips joined Bush supporters at a press conference to introduce the 61-member team.

The African Americans for Bush National Steering Committee will lead the campaign's outreach efforts to the African American community nationwide and serve as messengers of the President's positive agenda.

Former U.S. Congressman J.C. Watts praised President Bush's economic plan. "One hundred eleven million people now have lower tax bills. Small businesses and community entrepreneurs got a tax cut. Almost 15 percent of small businesses are owned by minorities. Now they are keeping more of their money. They're hiring more workers. The economy is growing faster than it has in nearly 20 years - and we've added 1.5 million new jobs since last August," said Watts.

3. That's going to cost them
if it's any real attempt besides PR for an article.

Can't see anyone volunteering to do this for the repugs. They will have to PAY for lots of workers.. And i don't see any REAL repug willing to go into areas to sell this idea. Hmmmm... No, I don't.

Gota be a PR stunt.

8. Put them on a field
With Zell Miller and the Democrats for Bush, and you might get enough people for a softball game.

This is a joke. I don't know of any real activists that are Republican and African American. They are just sheep, thinking that it validates their businesses. It makes them appear "rich" - ha.
I went to a Republican Fund Raiser (just for kicks) with my African American friend. So funny, there were about 300 "rich" people there. Five of them were Black, including me.

Two of them owned 1/3 Mc Donald's. One had some kind of business, I don't even know the name of it. The other, my friend, was waiting for some Republican to hire him in Sacramento. I have been encouraging him to get the Groper to provide a big paying job- no luck so far.

The whole evening was a laugh! I kept meeting people that assumed I was a Republican. When they asked me how I got involved with the Republican Party(guess they were thrilled to see an AA Rethug) I would softly laugh and tell them," I am a life long Democrat. I'm just here with my childhood friend "- another sweet smile from me, a look of shock from the Republican.

They could not activate any one to do anything. Everybody there was there to promote themselves.I am sure they were giving BIG money but no backbone.

And, the other day, to top it off, my Rethug friend called to say he waited 5 hours in line to buy Clinton's book. And, he got it on audio tape too. I laughed to myself - another so called Repub that secretly longs to be a Democrat. They just don't have the guts to admit they are following an idiot and a bunch of crooks for all these years.

9. Wasn't Hannity himself the head of some kind of "blacks for Bush"
group? I could swear it was him, but I could be mistaken.

Anyway, this group is either going to be very small, or very white.

Does that mean because they have no jobs, they don't have to pay taxes? Hmmm

21. LOL...I can count them all on one hand! (5)
1. Clarence Thomas

2. Condoleezza Rice

3. Colin Powell (although who knows who he might vote for when he goes behind that Booth come November)

4. My oldest brother George(Yes they share the same first name. I've been trying to get him disowned by the family, but my mother won't hear of it, A mothers love.),

5.And last but not least my EX-boyfriend who voted for Bush in 2000. Funny thing is that he thought I was the fool. We broke up days after the November election. Then in January 2000, days after Bush was sworn into office, my EX-boyfriend was laid off. At the time he held an executive position at Marathon Oil in Houston, TX. After being laid off the first person he called was me, asking if I could help him with his resume. I told him to call Bush and ask him to help him out with his resume, I was to much of a fool to be of any help to him.

There you have it...the 5 African American's that will vote for Bush.
