This story really bummed me out, because I STILL ocassionally forget that the media are complete whores and scumbags. CNN is now as bad as FUX, which I never watch, and MSNBC. CNN has been working extra hard lately, and stunts like this one make me think that the line about how bitterly divided our country is 100% manufactured hokey. I live in a very redneck part of the country and the bush people have been very, very quiet. Most of the locals thought bush was going to restore morality... and I think even they are confused and worried.

It most certainly was a partisan political response... calling the cops to arrest those destroying private property is how most municipalities "diffuse the situation" across the country, not persecuting an artist making a dedication during her encore.

Well, now I know where not to spend my money whenever I go to Vegas. Maybe now, one has to submit a questionnaire to these places to see whether they tolerate performing artists having free speech.
