The Repuke assault on the Democratic Party is in full throttle.
Democrats need to stand proud and not turn on their own at the drop of a hat. The crusade against Wilson and Berger is just part of carefully laid plans to besmirch the intregity of Democrats. Alot of things are going to come up that appear bad but appearance ain't reality.

Philip Dick author of Total Recall, Minority Report and Blade Runner wrote:

"So I ask, What is real? Because unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudorealities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms. I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power. They have a lot of it. And it is an astonishing power: that of creating whole universes, universes of the mind. "

2. You are right - it's a sign of their desperation - it allows the media to
now look into stories on the back burner (you know the ones I'm talking about). They were sitting on those so as to not look like they were piling on.

Live by the Sword, Die by the Sword my brothers...

3. It won't help them
The Republicans are doomed in this election. No matter what tantrums they throw, they have messed up badly. They will pay heavily in November.

4. Your assumption that the Repukes are going to lose is
dangerous. These are people who will stop at nothing to retain power. My point is that many Democrats are too quickly to turn on their own. For instance bewail Berger's carelessness, accepting the Repukes spin that this is some enormous crime.

7. Well, if they'll stop at nothing, then the elections don't matter.
But if elections matter, then the Republicans are in big trouble. If they don't then we're into a whole different, and ugly, realm.

As for Berger, he has admitted removing documents. He claims it was accidental. I neither believe nor disbelieve him since I can't possibly gather the facts necessary to allow me to judge.

10. It won't help.
Unless they get something rather extraordinary on Kerry, they have lost. They'll have to go the cancel the elections route if they want to retain office.

13. So far, Kerry has displayed a pretty good coating of teflon
the affair charges never went anywhere (largely because they were BS, but I remember a number of right-wing pundits saying Kerry's campaign would "implode" over it). The flip-flop tag is merely preaching to the choir; it's not having any larger effect because those same numbnuts are claiming that Kerry is also a staunch liberal, and they're ony confusting the public at large. The whole "rich guy beholden to special interest" argument is a flop, as only a drooling imbecile would not recognize it as the hypocritical BS it is. And this latest "John Kerry's French past" thing is just too silly to stick.

9. What's the diff?
Did somebody in the Bush Administration blow the cover of a CIA operative? Has the Bush Administration smeared every single person who has criticized anything they've done? Did they illegally divert money and troops to Iraq without Congressional approval? The list is endless? Who gives a shit about some notes and copies of documents that even Woolsey said happens all the time?

11. That Woolsey came out in support says it all. He even said
he had once mistakenly took classified docs home.

12. Yep
I saw that and it said more to me than even what Berger's lawyer said. If Woolsey is basically saying it's BS, then it's a lot of BS. I'm betting this backfires on them.

Trust nothing, nothing that comes out of their mouths.

I no longer do. C'mon, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to smell that awful smell.

Just when they get close to the Plame indictments (which I too fear will never happen) they start smearing Wilson with parsing of words.

First, hey his wife wanted him to go to Niger, and he said she didn't therefore, hey we did nothing wrong?? What's with that bullshit?

Then the British government conviently backs up the ONLY fucking thing that the Bushnazis have ever admitted was wrong. (but won't give the evidence, DUH) Whoah wait a minute there little fella, it appears them I RAQi's were trying to get them there nuclear stuff from Africa.

So Wilson is a liar.

Then we have the Berger incident. He took documents! Therefore what? Clinton is responsible for 9/11??? Why of course!! IT's all so simple, really.

Keep your anger alive. They are evil overlords from another dimension, they certainly aren't what I call human.
