There is a God! Republican FIL undecided about who to vote for in Nov
My husband talked to his dad last night. He is a lifelong republican, but says he hates Bush and is undecided about who to vote for in November. Said he didn't like Kerry either, but would most likely not vote for Bush. He said, that one good thing about Kerry would be he'd get more benefits when he retires next year. We're working on him. Oh, he's in South Carolina BTW.

4. A lot of folks have been turned off or pissed off by Bush
They may not be willing to vote for Kerry, but I think a lot of people will stay home in November. Turnout today at my heavily republican precinct for the GA primary was really poor. That's unusual for a primary in a presidential election year, especially when there are so many candidates seeking the nod for an open senate seat.

7. Sorry to spoil the party, but
Optimists should read up on Karl Rove. We've got a long way to go here, and we need to hold steady. The higher you go, the further you fall, so let's keep our feet on the ground and keep working.

8. asked newish employee if he was a bush supporter
he says afraid so, but i couldnt vote kerry even if i wasnt

why i ask

cause of his liberal record

what part of the record concerns you

(he was lost. had no more repug talking points)

military?, i help out

yes he says.

kerry has voted 16 of the 19 bills for military

well that is just time of war, most people support pres time of war as they should (i let that slide)

no, kerry voted 16 of the 19 bills for military in his 20 year history in the senate

he was surprised, go figure. told him, you have been listening to bush ads, getting info from them on kerry. those ads are lies and let me tell you how the military ad was a lie. cheney in '91.......ect

walked out of the room saying, everyone i hear say cant vote kerry, they listen to repug talking points and dont know the truth

why i am sharing this conversation this afternoon, we have got to start challenging people the easiness they say cant vote kerry. anytime you hear i dont like bush, but cant vote kerry that tells you they are not informed, they are sheep, and they need to be given info, to challenge them to be interested in listening and becoming aware

i dont let that go by anymore
