Card stacking or selective omission. This is the process of choosing from a variety of facts only those which support the propagandist's purpose. In using this technique, facts are selected and presented which most effectively strengthen and authenticate the point of view of the propagandist. It includes the collection of all available material pertaining to a subject and the selection of that material which most effectively supports the propaganda line. Card stacking, case making, and censorship are all forms of selection. Success or failure depends on how successful the propagandist is in selecting facts or "cards" and presenting or "stacking" them.

* Increase prestige. In time of armed conflict, leading personalities, economic and social systems, and other institutions making up a nation are constantly subjected to propaganda attacks. Card stacking is used to counter these attacks by publicizing and reiterating the best qualities of the institutions, concepts, or persons being attacked. Like most propaganda techniques, card stacking is used to supplement other methods.

* The technique may also be used to describe a subject as virtuous or evil and to give simple answers to a complicated subject.

* An intelligent propagandist makes his case by imaginative selection of facts. The work of the card stacker in using selected facts is divided into two main phases:

- First, the propagandist selects only favorable facts and presents them to the target in such a manner as to obtain a desired reaction.
- Second, the propagandist uses these facts as a basis for conclusions, trying to lead the audience into accepting the conclusions by accepting the facts presented

FBI Considers Releasing Unclassified Version of Whistleblower Report

The FBI might allow the Justice Department inspector general to release unclassified versions of two reports detailing his investigations into the bureau's translation program, the IG wrote Thursday in a letter to two senators.

Previously, the FBI had taken the unusual step of classifying both reports in their entirety - effectively ruling out the possibility that the IG could ever release redacted versions to the public.

But in a letter dated July 15, Justice IG Glenn A. Fine told Sens. Charles E. Grassley, R-Iowa, and Patrick J. Leahy, D-Vt., both on the Judiciary Committee, that the FBI was now working with his office to produce unclassified versions of the reports.

The previous week, the senators had written to Fine, FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III and Attorney General John Ashcroft to request unclassified versions of the reports.

The letters appear to have accomplished their goal.

"e are in the process of working with the agencies whose classified information is contained in the reports in an attempt to produce an unclassified version of the reports," Fine wrote to the senators.

Taking Turkey as the focal point and with a start date of 1998, it is easy to speculate why Sibel Edmonds indicated that there was a convergence of US and foreign counter-narcotics, counter-terrorism and US national security and economic interests all of which were too preoccupied to surface critical information warning Americans of the attacks of September 11, 2001. After all, who would have believed drug runners operating in Central Asia? And besides, President Clinton was promoting Turkey, one of the world’s top drug transit points, as a model for Muslim-Western cooperation and a country necessary to reshape the Middle East.

The bare nuts and bolts of her case is they fired her because she was doing her job and the FBI was doing the exact opposite. With them big guns in that are suing for the 100 trillion dollars the possibilty of seeing a lot more daylight exist
