Okay, have any other DU'ers tried kiteboarding? IT'S HARD! I've been windsurfing for years and started practicing with a kite on the beach about 3 years ago and started then doing it on the water and biffed it hard often....its a lot harder than one would imagine and requires an amazing amount of coordination and physical strength...

I was blown away when I saw on the news tonite Kerry Kiteboarding off Nantucket...that was impressive....

Now, we on the DU are all too familiar with Pretzelboys' Segway and "Bicycling" attempts....Can you all imagine him kiteboarding? He'd probably drown or be dragged off by the foot tangled in the kite hanging upside down...

Gawd, I'd love to see that one....and his "doctor" kiteboarding next to him....

8. It is a blast....more people are doing it on the Bay and at the Gorge in
...Hood River Oregon than Windsurfing...you can really get some speed too and go "flying" and catch air...

This is the man we want as President...how can people say he is stiff and has no charisma? This and snowboarding...wow...the MTV generation and young folks 18-25 must be eating this stuff up...the best part is that ITS REAL...There is no way that John Kerry learned this stuff in the last 6 months so that he could have good photo ops for running for President...

Like I said in the beginning of this thread, it was several years ago that I started "practicing" with a kite on the beach (its a hook-up that is identical to what you use on the water) and you practice how to use it....then you move to the water....it took me about a good year before I was doing it where I didn't biff in the water every few minutes....I still am working on it, although being pregnant last year and now with a 6 month old has put that on hold a bit...

John Kerry is the REAL DEAL!!!

7. about kiteboarding...snowboarding etc.
seems the GOPers are now trying to paint him as a "rich-party-boy", taking vacations to snow board, kiteboard and then slaming him and Edwards for being "rich"

How much time has bush* taken off to golf (watch my swing), fish, or play 'horse-less' cowboy on his pig farm? What about Cheney duck hunting with Scalia?

No mention of inherited wealth by bush* (born on third base and thinks he hit a homer) nor the pile of gold Cheney has amassed and is still amassing

and it's amazing how GOPers keep telling us that we have to work hard and be responsibile in order to achieve the "american dream" -- yet they slam Edwards for doing just that
