Have the G.O.P. Given Up Illinois Yet?
Edited on Wed Jul-21-04 06:55 AM by rpannier
I live in Korea and have not heard anything about the Republican Senate nominee from Illinois since dickass declined to run. Has anyone heard anything about it?
I'm not registered in Illinois, I'm just curious.

1. I don't think Jack Ryan wants to drop out.
He still hasn't filled out the papers to formally withdraw from the race.

Last I read, the Illinois GOP was looking at one of the candidates beaten by Ryan in the primary last March.

2. They are still scraping the bottom of the barrel
To see who they can come up with. It is laughable. Hope all is well in Korea.

5. Rumors on the local Chicago newscasts have been
that State Senator Kirk Dillard, who I believe is from Hinsdale, IL is going to announce he's running against Barack Obama.

* will be in Glenview and Winnetka tomorrow for campaign appearances and I think the announcement will be made then or very shortly afterward.

7. Isn't Bozo the Clown from Illinois?
Is Bozo a Democrat or a Republican? Or an Illinois Nazi, perhaps?

8. a former catholic priest who loved kid a bit too dearly.
Bozo no-nos take on a whole new meaning.

Spanky actually ran for mayor against Da Mare last time. Got some votes, too.

Bozo (actually the third guy in that role) would probably win the sympathy vote, the hard core repuke vote (they can't read or write, so Bozo is an edukashunal experience) and the clown vote.
