Berger is simply red meat for the base...(Discuss) |
|
I thought I'd start another thread on this...so maybe we can kiss it goodbye. Here's what I've heard: (source..that Bolshevik Leftist {not!} David Gergen on Larry King last night plus expert on material on CNN this AM whose name I cannot remember.) IN OCTOBER,2003, Berger inadvertantly picked up COPIES (or copy) of document(s) which detail the very good work he and others in Clinton administration did in FOILING terrorist attacks. The paper(s) got lost, stuck in a pile that ended up in his briefcase. He has always acknowledged it was a stupid and sloppy mistake. He has cooperated fully with investigators SINCE THAT TIME, the FBI has searched his house, some docs found there, one apparently lost. THERE ARE MANY OTHER COPIES OF ALL OF THE MATERIAL IN QUESTION. He also took notes and put them in his pocket. My understanding is (and correct me if I'm wrong, please) that this is not breaking the law,,,but it is against archivist policy. You're supposed to show your notes to the people hanging around. Since he'd spent 30 hours pouring over complicated materials and was preparing to testify on said materials, this sounds like another sloppy error to me. The archivist(s) on duty DID NOT QUESTION HIM AT THE TIME...but reported his behavior instead. Their excuse for not dealing with it then..that it was a "sensitive" issue. Would somebody please tell me just exactly what these Bozos pull down a salary for if not to deal with security issues in real time, on site? How would we respond to a bank guard telling us that he didn't confront the gun-toting robber at the door of the bank because it was "sensitive?" The business about hastily stuffing his socks, underwear, etc with papers and go UNCHALLENGED AT THE TIME is too ludicrous to be believed. AND WHY HAVEN"T THEY RESOLVED THIS THING YET? How long does it take to figure it out? And, poppets, let's not forget that last October when Berger perpetrated this terrible act, nobody knew who the Democratic nominee would be, so how can it possibly be an act of espionage for the Kerrry camp? The missing material is well known anyway! My take? Rush and Hannity et al get to comfort and distract their knuckle-dragging pea brained base with this silly tale while the 9-11 Commission's report comes out. PLease forgive the rant. But the talking heads are reporting this story with absolutely no detail, trying to make it look as horrible as possible and I just snapped. Thank you for your attention!

1. It is not just the 911 report |
|
a world of bad shit is about to fall on the * admin from a great height.
Plame, abu Ghraib, the economy, burning Iraq, Cheney in chains...
This is the start of a really dark period for the Pubs. Note the plethora of candidates who are going down in flames all over the place, and note the common theme-- Hubris ridden 'conservative' hypocrites behaving badly and waiving their dirty trunks in public.

2. You Are Correct, This Should Have No Effect On Kerry and Should Be Gone |

3. yes - they probably consider it to be sirloin or tenderloin |
|
or something.
I see it as a diversionary tactic and lame ammo for "them" to rail about.
And - it would also seem to me not odd at all to want to take notes.... considering the circumstances.
Is there any proof of even potential "damage"? I doubt it.
