Ron Silver ("Democrat" for Bush) says that his Career in Hollywood is over
"Did anyone just see Ron Silver on O'Reilly? He was not only condemning the Radio City Hate Fest, but he was lavishing praise on the President.

O'Reilly told him that his career in Hollywood was over.

Then Silver started taking pot-shots at the Hollywood mentality.

He called the President, I believe, a visionary, and listed him amongst the great Presidents."

Thank God that we will NEVER have to see his face corrupting Hollywood again.

If you looked closely at the promo, you could actually see little bits of scenery stuck between Ron Silver's teeth.

The person who asked who he was, evidently. And I imagine it IS his politics, since I don't see any of what you're referring to as "foul bigoted hate"--the guy is just another Deluded Fool for Bush, that's all.

38. I thought Silver was an idiot even when he was a Clintonite...
I remember him giving the radio jocks lots of fodder at Clinton's inauguation when he was standing right behind Clinton and he saw the traditional military jets flying over in formation. An angry Silver was clearly heard saying something like "what are those fucking jets doing over here? Then he grinned and said, Hey, those are our fucking jets now."

Once a clod, always a clod...

11. First off, his career is NOT over...just another Bushevik LIAR
Second, it's nice to see they picked someone familiar with being EVIL and following EVIL to be the EVIL Senator McComb in "Timecop".

No WONDER Silver did such a great job portraying that Human Spit Bucket.

Once again, a Bushevik Liar is projecting what they do onto others.

13. OMG, has he ever gone to the dark side
He used to be so ... rational (well, sort of ... he used to use any podium he saw, at any awards show he was presenting at ... to discuss various liberal causes (as I recall, they were liberal).

WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?

I was just watching the West Wing (rerun) the other day, and thinking how great it would be if the campaign-manager character he played on there could be advising Kerry (his character was RUTHLESS, which is what we need right now).

Screw you, Ron.

Ron Silver was one of the founders of the Creative Coalition: http://www.thecreativecoalition.org/newsite/index.html

He was for a long time the President of Actor's Equity Association! If this is true this is really depressing. Man he was a great advocate to have on our side.

I hadn't heard of this role player until he started showing up on wingnut talk shows a couple years ago. Yawn!!

He's a Neo-Con of the Pearle, Skunk Baxter ilk...and totally in a parallel universe.

How ironic these assholes bitch when a "Hollywood" type speak out, yet when it's a "Hollywood type" of their liking, then he's elevated to "star" status.

46. You guys can trash talk all you want
but I think this is a bigger loss than you know. Silver was, whether you want to admit it or not, a very well respected actor. He was the President of the actor's union, Actor's Equity Association for a long time and was one of the leaders in championing progressive issues. That's why I find this so disturbing. He was a founding member of the Creative Coalition which has done a lot of lobbying for progressive issues over the last 14 years or so. I'm really disappointed to learn this.
