5. It isnt the people, it is the process.
The people will come around if we do our jobs as citizens. These things take time and effort. Politics is not a spectator sport. We cant just sit back and let the system run and expect the system to work. It would be nice, it would be great if we could, and we have a problem in society because we learn growing up that our society is this magical place where everything works like a beautiful cuckoo clock. So most people dont view the system as a chaotic complicated process with great power to effect every single one of us. THe system is a product of the people and controls the people at the same time. We must effect the process, when we do the type of people who get power and the attitudes and issues of the people will both change.

6. Yes, the milktoasts need to go. Let's get more Howards, Dennises, Als and
Cynthias in there to replace them!

3. It is absolutely
about assigning blame and if we don't assign that blame and then DO something about it we may as well put our tails between our legs and find a cave to reside in. Damn, this kind of news just blows.

7. And I was just told here yesterday that Pelosi would make a much
better leader of the House than Kucinich.

:eyes:

Y'know, I'm seeing the very same thing going on in the senate race in my state right now. There is one DEM in the race who is very strong, very savvy, and has a BACKBONE. The other one is REpukelite, and wobbles very closely to bushwa.

Can you guess what the party faithful are saying........?

Oh yeah, it's "hard times, and we have to go with the 'safe choice'".

So, in a few years, we'll be hearing the same complaints about the "safe choice" as these complaints right now.

And those of us who are working for the strong candidates are laughed at and discounted.

I guess it really is true......... we get what we deserve.

8. So "it's not about assigning responsibility" either ??
No blame - no responsibility? Just forget all those people that have been killed in an illegitimate war? It was just a simple mistake.

9. Who is to be held accoutable for these failures? F**ing NO ONE!!!
Unbeleivable. Politicians are so afraid of the word blame, they pretend there isn't any.

F**ing Bullshit

10. Every day I see a mangled and deformed soldier I assign blame
Every time I look at the pictures from Abu Ghraib I assign blame.

Each new horror story coming out of Iraq and I assign blame.

Oh hell yes it's about assigning blame...because unless we can assign blame no one will have to take responsibility.
