AAR Ratings- Mentions Randi Rhodes
http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/story/214039p-184321c.html

Too late for LBN....

"After 9 a.m., Air America tops WABC and WOR among 18- to 34-year-olds, peaking with 2.1% of that group for Randi Rhodes in the afternoon.

Air America finished second, behind WABC, among 25- to 54-year-olds - though that sparked two interpretations."

What makes this more amazing is the AAR has done this in NYC considering that-

-The signal is weak beyond a 20 mile radius of Manhattan
-There is no advertising to speak of, at least out here in NJ. I see WABC and WOR billboards everywhere.
-Four months ago, this station was a carribean station which was little known outside the five boros.

1. As a former radio guy I find this
FREAKING AMAZING! Wow, I wasn't that confident at the beginning but they have really kicked ass. I don't like Randi Rhodes' style, but she is compelling and a winner! Bottom line is that I listen. I gotta hand it to Al Franken, too. Hell, everybody has come through in super style. The fact that most of them are not "polished" probably has been to their advantage.

If the rumor that Mike Malloy is joining AAR is true, I'd be thrilled. Hopefully, this undeniable success will spawn other liberal radio ventures.

2. Someone will be along soon
to say that AAR is on the verge of bankruptcy and their ratings actually went down.
