should I be ready to cast an absentee ballot just in case?...

I have a distinct feeling that the :puke: Nazis might try to postpone or do something evil to delay the upcoming election. I'll be in Japan the week before, but if something happens I could be moved to stay right there with my gf, and I still want my vote to count. Should I go ahead and have an absentee ballot ready to go?

This way if I decide to stay in japan, I'll have one good last deed to my current name--until I start making the transition from Murican to Foreign resident of Japan :-)
