Mansoor Ijaz
is one of the two who keeps pushing the dubious "bin Laden was handed to Clinton on a silver platter" half truths.

This stems from a reported proposal made to the Clinton administration sometime before bin Laden's 5/18/96 expulsion from the Sudan.

Nightly, he appears on Faux telling about Bill Clinton's failures to apprehend OBL. But that didn't stop him from donating to Mrs. Clinton's Senate campaign, three years AFTER the Sudan incident.

1. the guy is a dirtbag
He's not even Sudanese. He also lobbied Washington, on the behalf of Pakistan, for F-16 fighter jets. He claims to have brokered the deal, but he's not a government official, just a greedy business man with an interest in developing Sudanese oil reserves.

2. I am researching the story for myself
He is American born and living in NYC. His family lives in Western Virginia.

This story is interesting. My take on it is that Ijaz came to them with a brokered "deal", but the Clinton administration rightly saw him as a crackpot, who had no authority to offer anything in an official capacity. The only reason he may have gotten a hearing with Sandy Berger is because he was a large Democratic campaign contributor.

In his articles, he seems to see himself as a good samaritan, helping to bridge diplomatic gaps. Following the money, however, always brings out the truth.

3. Fox News hired him which should tell you enough
you don't see the 9/11 commission or any other investigators taking him seriously.
