Help me with this Sandy Berger stuff, I have heard sooo
much crazy, ridiculous stuff on the righty radio stations for the past two hours or so. They are saying Berger took 160 pages, or 90 pages, or 16 pages (heard all three figures) and stuffed them in his shorts, his pants, his socks, I mean come on. Did he do that?

I heard that he accidentally took some pages home, big frickin deal. But stuffing pages into his socks? 160 pages of classified stuff?

Is this true or have the Repugs jumped the shark?

2. Are you sure? They were definitive. So either they
have something, or they have gone off the deep end this time.

3. how many times were they definitive about all those
different WMD finds

matter of fact, I heard on WLS today that they found NUKES in Baghdad, and that Rush mentioned it, too, but prefaced it with some kind of disclaimer

16. Don't you know?
The WMDs are in Tikrit. And east, west, north and south of that area. Yeah, we're sure of it. Uh-huh.

Signed,

19. Relable reporter on Pox, give me a break. It is despicable for
the underling to remain anonyomous. Whoever makes such an accusation should have the balls to state his name.

5. It's like lying about
WMD's to start a war or a blowjob. The press spent 8 years on the blowjob. Pass on the WMD lie. Same type of republicrud hypocrisy.

6. If he could walk out with 160 pages, why would he need to stuff..
...extras into his socks?

That makes absolutely no sense.

8. Where's the OFFICIAL story that I can read?
Isn't there some credible source that talks about the details of this? I mean, I might have to call these assholes and throw down the gauntlet, so I'd like to be sure.

9. Go to this link.
It's the transcript of Wolfie's interview last night with Berger's lawyer. Scroll down to where he starts talking with Breuer:

http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0407/20/wbr.01.html

He does a good job of exposing the bullshit.

10. 160 Pages??? Man, Talk About Elastic...
This isn't a paperback...these are bound documents...the guy would have to have elephant legs just to have socks wide enough to shove that kind of binder down. Oh, that's right, he stuffed it in his jacket. Yep, try putting 160 pages, or 30 pages on 8 x 11 and shove it in your pocket. Berger'd look like Mae West on steroids with boobs sticking out. Maybe Fawn Hall has this thing figured out...LOL

Also, how inconvenient for these hate mongers to constantly ignore that the "document" (and so far all I've heard of was one) was a COPY of the original that was on file with the Commission and was of a report Berger wrote. And what's he covering up? That he helped foil an Al Queda plot while this regime couldn't shoot straight with far more red flags?

I can almost predict how these spins go now...it's gotten so blatant and gets from the absurd to the sublime.

The GOOPs are on the defensive these days and figure when the bully tactics work so when when times are good, they should work twice as good in bad times. And in some cases they're right...look at how steeled the wingnuts have really become in recent months. They now not only accept the lies, they look for them.

12. If Berger admitted to inadvertently taking some documents,
Edited on Wed Jul-21-04 09:04 PM by in_cog_ni_to
why the hell would he lie about putting them in his socks? That is pure bullshit! Sandy Berger does not seem to be the type to stuff things in his socks. :eyes: Remember when the Clinton administration left the WH and the RWers said they "destroyed" the WH, stole furniture, took all the w's off of the computers? It was all a damn lie. It didn't happen. They're liars and the sheeple believe them. I don't think any "thinking" person is going to believe this Berger crap story.

13. He didn't stick anything in his socks.
He stuck his notes in his pants pockets and put some COPIES of files in his coat. He just couldn't remember good enough so he took them home to study with. He was trying to do a good job for the commission. IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT? The Thugs are making something out of nothing. Kinda like Newt impeaching Clinton for having an affair with an intern when he was doing the very same thing. Call the radio jocks and tell them to shut up. They're liars as usual.

:eyes:

Look for the thugs to go APESHIT over a misdemeanor he might have to pay a FINE over (that almost makes me giggle, it does) but completely have cognitive dissonance over the fact that their gutless "leader" lied to get us into a bloody, costly war.

Ooooookay.
