But the obsession is with the Arabs. Naturally, 9/11 was way worse than the others, but we certainly know that all the enormities within aren't brown skinned.

The reason for this rant is this woman on CNN tonight complaining that we are letting groups of Arab men fly together, apparently it freaks her out. Good God! Why aren't we monitoring the homegrown wacko's better?

2. The right wing is better served by a brown-skinned, "savage" enemy...

Xenophobia is a staple of the right wing, and Middle-Easterners fit the bill perfectly for them.

Imagine an amorphous, brown-skinned enemy who simply "hates us for our freedoms." As the tale is told, this enemy could strike anywhere, anytime. He is savage and merciless. He kills for the love of killing.

It's propaganda like this that allows the right wing to radically change our laws and make obscene war profits, while the domestic population sits idly by, utterly paralyzed by fear.
