Tom Tomrrow cartoon on "Sensible" liberals |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-21-04 10:40 PM by Eric J in MN
http://www.workingforchange.com/comic.cfm?itemid=17313He seems to be taking a jab at NY TIMES op-ed writer Nicholas Kristof, who critcized Michael Moore and Al Franken for implying Bush is a liar. But the cartoon character doesn't look like Kristof.

1. It could also be a jab at Howling Wolf |
|
who doesn't agree with F-911 and also has a long essay explaining why we shouldn't call Bush a Liar.

it's a jab at ALL lefties who are still myopic enough to believe main stream media is objective, fair and reports honestly.
A jab at pretty much any one who leans left and isn't thoroughly disgusted at the state of our nation.

4. Liberals who want to curry favor from those who will never provide it |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-22-04 04:50 AM by jpgray
I suppose that's a less snappy title, though. :D So long as the Republicans are around, the Democrats will never be reasonable enough to curry favor from the media--the media are about corporate profit and influence, and that means the Republican Party. No one can out-do them in that field. Doesn't mean we should stop being reasonable, but we should stop acting like we have to always provide for the Republican viewpoint--that's all the media do, let's do something else ourselves.
