Yep, I actually saw that on a flyer today in a poorer neighborhood in my city. Then it had the name and address of the church.

It was aimed at teens. It even went on to read: "Jesus wants to party with YOU!!!" There was cheesy clip art of balloons and confetti.

Who knew Jesus was a partier? Did you?

To make this eligible for the GD forum, you guys have made me see things like that differently (well, the internet has). I am a Christian, but of the VERY liberal, leave people the hell alone ilk. My beliefs don't hurt anyone, I ask to be left alone in return. That's all.

But THAT just cracked me the hell up. And before the internet, I wouldn't have batted an eye at it. Hell, there's a church on every corner here with signs like "We'll keep you from getting SON-burn." Hardee har har. Now I notice stuff like that. And cock my head and wonder at it. I still have spiritual beliefs (notice not RELIGIOUS but spiritual, big difference to me), but I am glad to notice stuff like that more now.

Do you think Jesus endorses Kerry? I might have to go to that party and find out. I'll bring him a Kerry shirt.
