GRRR! Norm Coleman To Go to Boston to "Expose Kerry's Lies and Flip-Flops"
Coleman part of GOP presence set for Democratic convention
July 21, 2004 COLE0721

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn., will go to the Democratic National Convention next week to criticize the party's presumptive nominee, Sen. John Kerry, and defend President Bush.

"I anticipate that Senator Kerry will be going through an extreme makeover," Coleman said Tuesday. "I'll be there to lay out the facts: This is where he's been versus this is where he says he's at today."

Coleman will be part of a team of GOP senators, including Saxby Chambliss of Georgia, John Cornyn of Texas and Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

(snip)

Kerry spokesman Bill Burton said Coleman, a former Democrat, is in no position to talk about changing positions.

"Minnesota has seen fewer larger flip-flops than Norm Coleman's entire career -- as a Democrat, as a Republican, as a Clinton supporter, then as a Bush supporter," Burton said.

The Bush campaign and the Republican National Committee are arranging the GOP presence at the Democrats' convention.

1. NORMY....
is a lying piece of you know what.. and I find it mighty strange that he did his interview in front of an airplane right after poor Paul Wellstone "mysteriously" died in an airplane crash. Norm Coleman is about as honest as a LIAR..... Because he is a LIAR.....

3. How the hell did people see this guy as a moderate?
Edited on Wed Jul-21-04 11:28 PM by liberalpragmatist
Question: How the hell was this guy seen as "moderate"? I mean, I could at least have some respect for him if he truly was. Or if he was overall Conservative, but willing to challenge Conservative orthodoxy from time to time or sometimes break with his party. You know, at least like McCain, or Hagel, or John Warner.

But instead, they kept on saying this guy was a "moderate" and there's nothing moderate or independent about him. He's just a Republican hack and he's a spineless ass of a politician. I'm ok with pols switching parties if they truly have philosophical issues - but to completely change all your viewpoints in one fell swoop? It's OBVIOUSLY political. If Republicans call John Kerry a flip-flopper, this guy makes Kerry look like a saint (of course, Kerry is good and ANY Dem looks good next to Coleman).

4. I am "represented" by that bag 'o shit Cornyn
But still I think Coleman is a more active evil. What a pack of losers. All they need is Newt Gingrich and they will have a royal flush...

5. No Joke - assholes and weasels all
That list reads like the biggest Republican slime of any senators (okay, bar INHOFE). I mean, Coleman? Cornyn? McCONNELL? CHAMBLISS?

Damn. If only. Wellstone. Kirk. Cleland.

They feel it necessary to send in spoilers where they are not welcome. These shits have no dignity.

First they raise a record amount of money out of necessity to spend on an incumbent swine, who, if he wasn't completely nuts should have been able to waltz into office on his "record" alone. Then they use the money not to enhance the squatter's image, but instead to mount the biggest and most expensive and desperate smear campaign of all time.

The amusing thing about all this is that none of it is working because regardless of how much money he spends on his bogus campaign, all of the bastard's programs and "policies" have both failed and blown up in his face.

8. There used to be a "Gentleman's Agreement"
to lay low while the other side was having its convention. It wasn't that long ago either.

10. yeah, I thought the same thing . . .
I know that during past conventions, the opposing party never sent a representative to the convention to blast the candidate . . . civility in this country just keeps getting deader and deader . . .

13. I saw a segment on the news the other day about civility in politics
They showed Ron Reagan and Tip O'Neil having a beer together and then went into how Bill Frist is going to South Dakota to campaign against Tom Daschle. It wasn't complimentary to the Republicans.

The Dems will take the "high road" and not send anyone to New York to counteract the prepuke fest. I swear, if we take the high road with Saxby Chambliss, we deserve to lose. I'm serious.

14. Yay for Saxby Chambliss
After all, how else could a dumbass, no-name yes-man for Bush be elected to the Senate except by questioning the patriotism of a man who lost three limbs while serving in Vietnam (Chambliss, of course, did not serve *SURPRISE*).

Minnesota Mayor Switches To GOP

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AllPolitics, Dec. 19) -- With GOP heavyweight Jack Kemp at his side, St. Paul Mayor Norm Coleman Declared Wednesday he was through with the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party and would become a Republican.

http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1997/9612/19/2minn.mayor/index.shtml

MINNEAPOLIS - After telling a Capitol newspaper that he's "a 99 percent improvement" over the late Sen. Paul Wellstone, Sen. Norm Coleman said he would never want to diminish the legacy of his Democratic predecessor.

"To be very blunt and God watch over Paul's soul, I am a 99 percent improvement over Paul Wellstone," Coleman, R-Minn., said in a front-page story published in Roll Call. "Just about on every issue."

16. Wow, it's really floating to the top of the septic tank.
Look at those names and the "principles" they represent, such as defecating on a decorated veteran (what Chambliss did to Max Cleland) and defecating on the deceased (what Coleman did to Paul Wellstone, may he rest in peace).

Pull that chain a little harder and maybe they'll all flush away.

Anyway, is this the new GOP? A floating hate festival that shows up wherever and whenever possible? What insufferable little...
