If you'll remember Tuesday, Sheriff Ron McClellan fired Will Carroll, David Webber, Shayne Green, Samuel Franklin, and Joshua Monday in the midst of the abuse probe.
The statement, which was given at a press conference Wednesday evening by Siler's attorney, Michael Farley, states that Siler was beaten for "almost 2 hours with the officers striking Mr. Siler numerous times about the face and body." The report also alleges that Siler endured "other forms of torture," but refused to detail these claims.
The statement continues, "the fact that Mr. Siler has had prior drug convictions and the fact that Campbell County Sheriff's Department alleges that he may have been involved in other drug activity does not give any officer the right to torture and abuse someone and blatantly violate the rights of a person afforded by the Constitution of the United States."
