Pew Research Shows Huge Gains for Dems.
Edited on Thu Jul-22-04 08:45 AM by louis c
The Image of the Democratic Party has improved dramatically since January, and even more over the last two years, Pew Research is reporting today.

On the economy the Dems. went from a flat-footed tie in Sept. 02 to a 12% advantage today.

On Foreign Policy the Dems have gone from -10% in Sept. 02 to a +2% today.

On Education the net increase is an astounding 19%, from -3% in Sept. 02 to +16 today.

In addition, the President's overall approval numbers, and approval numbers for individual issues continue to drop in every category.

As a result, the Kerry-Edwards ticket holds a slim 46%-44% advantage with Nader at 3% and undecideds at 7%. This represents a net gain for Kerry of 6% since June.

Also, the number of voters who believe that Kerry will win the election has risen sharply to a statistical dead heat, with nearly 20% unsure. This represents a net increase of 12% from just June, and an astounding 40% increase from January of this year.

2. I am still astounded that it is dead heat
and nothing I have seen on TV shows why it should be a dead heat. All I see is blunders by Bush, and his poll numbers going down and yet we're told it's a dead heat. i don't buy that shit.

3. Voters break late to the challenger....
Edited on Thu Jul-22-04 08:45 PM by louis c
Clinton was running third in June of 1992, behind Perot and Bush.

Reagan and Carter were in a dead heat until late.

Voters have already moved away from Bush and are waiting to be convinced by Kerry.

In this Pew Poll, look at all the fundamentals. Bush and the Repukes are very unfavorable in nearly every category and on every issue.

Think of it like a divorce. First, your husband drives you away. Then you make the break. Then you allow another to win your heart. We are in phase three of this analogy.

Kerry-Edwards in a Landslide.

4. carter was ahead of Reagan slightly till the Oct debate
then we got blown out of the water, my point is that no matter how bad things are the incumbent gets the benefit of the doubt. In '92 I went door to door to help Clinton, it was never a sure thing and until the early evening did we finally beleive we did it. This thing is going all the way to Nov. 3rd, keep working like Kerry is down 10%, expect the unexpected

5. Bush will attempt a "There he goes again" during a debate, if there
ever is one, but the public will not fall for the same shit...

Bush is Toast.

The French are spitting at our Bikers

The Germans hate us.

The Swedes moon Bush

The Japanese wonder about our sanity

The Canadians curse us

The Iraqis bomb us

The Isralis take our money

The Brits hate Bush, think of him as NO CLASS

The World looks to America and wonder how in the Hell could we foist the Shrub onto the White House and ruin the World. Are we safer... Hell no, Are we better off? Hell no. Could we do better? Only if we get those Pubs outta there.
