What's your message to Kerry/Edwards after they win in November?
- There is absolutely no other choice but to vote for Kerry/Edwards. As most of you know by now...Bush* isn't simply a 'bad' president...he's a ruling class elitist, a criminal and mentally unbalanced. He and his gang of PNACers depend on the corporate media, rubber stamp, enabling congress and uninformed/misinformed Americans to carry the burden of their malfeasance. Bush* must go. The very survivial of our democratic republic depends on it.

- But...many of you also know that putting Kerry/Edwards in office is only the beginning of the fight to make government accountable to the people instead of the corporations that help buy their way into office.

- Moving ahead to Jan, 05...what's your message to Kerry/Edwards about priorities and principles?

4. What are you...some kind of...librul?

- But seriously...the very issues you mention would be a good start in bringing our government back into balance.

- These issues are the crux of the problem: a government growing ever more unresponsive and unaccountable to 'We The People'.

5. Have the kind of foreign policy Edwards described in second last debate:
one aimed at making the lives of working people around the world better, and not one aimed at making the oligopolies abroad richer. Help Afghanistan build public schools. Help Iraq build an oil industry that delivers wealth to Iraqis and not to Texans. Let Chávez build a Venzuelan economy that works for Venezuelans.

We'll all be richer and happier whent here are wealthy middle classes in democratic countries all over the world.

6. From a practical point of view
My suggestions for their very first steps are organizational.

1. Put the best people in the best administrative positions.
2. CAREFULLY vett everybody.
3. Compartmentalize information and don't get too free with strategies and plans.......Clinton made this mistake, too many people knew too much and talked to the press, and consequently, the RW spin machine.
4. Don't expose yourself by issuing pre-mature statements. Make sure all the "i's" are dotted and "t's" are crossed before taking any issue public.
5. Build coalitions quickly among legislative branch and key bureaucratic institutions. (Carter didn't and they tried to scuttle him every inch of the way)
6. I know it's cliched, but try to think "out of the box" as much as possible. The Repubs know how to fight traditional battles and will be confused by anything that they can't fight with their traditional, worn out mantras. (tax & spend, Liberal agenda, etc..)

A great deal will depend on what happens with the House and Senate. If the Repubs retain control of both a lot of the strategy will have to be developed around coping with obstruction and outright hostility from congress.

Just a few thoughts.......

Anxious to hear others.

9. Fix our executive agencies then Investigate investigate investigate
THIS TIME, instead of a bogus perjury charge to manuever which the Busheviks broke far more laws than Clinton ever did, we have scandals dripping ooze from every orifice.

If it wasn't for fear of charcter, career, and literal assassination, 3 ADAs, 2 paralegals, with a budget of $20,000 coulkd ucnover any one of them.

But the System has been so parasitized and brutalized these last 20 years, can it shake off it's rust and defend itself?

Even IF Kerry/Edwards are permitted to win the "Election" upcoming.

17. Rescind executive orders giving FEMA too much power!
Implement a living wage here.

Signal your intent to push congress to repeal Taft-Hartley.

Rescind support for profit-centered corporate-crony ruled trade agreements, and signal your intent to sign fair-trade deals only with countries that pay a living wage and abide by our standards for the working class - no child labor, no sweatshops, right to unionize.

Implement enegery policy that weans the US from foreign oil and coal, and shift the focus and investments toward developing renewable sources (wind, solar, wave, etc.)

Cut the wasteful programs from the military budget, and fully fund Section 8, First Start, etc. Also send some of the funds to state schools which are starving and hurting the children.

Fully fund all first reponders.

Signal your intent to implement Kucinich's vision of a Medicaid for All program, so that while the wealthy can still have premium service through private insurance, EVERY AMERICAN will be guaranteed basic health, dental, and mental service.

That's a start, anyway.
