"House Panel to Investigate Berger Case"

WASHINGTON (AP) - The main investigative committee in the Republican-led House will look into allegations Clinton administration national security adviser Sandy Berger mishandled highly classified terrorism documents, lawmakers said Wednesday.

Even though the matter already is the subject of a Justice Department criminal probe, House Government Reform Committee Chairman Tom Davis said the panel has "a constitutional responsibility to find out what happened and why."

"At best, we're looking at tremendously irresponsible handling of highly classified information," said Davis, R-Va.

House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., said the questions the committee should answer include whether there was any attempt to cover up embarrassing materials, what happened to documents removed by Berger that are still missing and what security risk the entire episode poses.

1. If and when we win...
We need to remember to return the favor and haul them into every goddamned committee, including the Mattress Tag Committee.

2. That took two years less time than launching a 9/11 "investigation"

and we're still waiting for the investigation into the exposure of an undercover CIA operative

3. Hmmm
A constitutional priority regarding an investigation wrapped up 9 months ago is launched the day after the investigation was leaked.

Yet, it took 74 days for them to start an investigation into treasonous leak of Valerie Plame's ID as a covert operative.

4. If we ever get power back in Congress
We need to have investigation upon investigation about the bush admin. and any and all links to any coverups or complicit acts by any elected republican. Vicious people always need to have the favor returned and the present elected republicans in our government are at the very least VICIOUS.

5. Oh, yeah! And let's spend 60 million taxpayer dollars on this one
And then let's impeach Clinton retroactively, 'cause Berger DID work for him. Geez...these right-wingnuts are relentless. Not to mention galactically stupid.

I'd say I give up, but can't do that because:

Bush Must Go!!!

6. Lights, camera, action: The BIG LIE CIRCUS is about to begin!
If they could do it with Whitewater, they can do it with this.

See how fast the Imperial House activates when it is the Enemies of the Imperial Family that have made ANY transgression, while Imperial transgressions of a much more serious nature are greeted with Soviet Silence.

Of course, anyone who has lived in or studied Totalitarian Nations like Imperial Amerika find this Gigantic Double-Standard unremarkable and typical.

Like a Jew and a Nazi committing similar crimes in Nazi Germany. Would they have received equal justice.

The only difference between Nazi Justice and Bushevik Justice is the virulence and violence and overt racism.

Otherwise, the Double-Standards themselves are now almost identical.
