Because, they are more interested in protecting their political interests than the interests of this nation. That is not going to change. Just look at them in the last few days. Look at how they manipulated the 9/11 Report to escape any responsibility for their lack of oversight. Look at how they have attacked Joe Wilson and Sandy Berger...This nation is at risk as long as the Repubs cling to political power over every other national interest.

This is another way of saying what you are, or what I have been saying.

The Bushevik Philosphy, as cruel and morally banrupt and shortsighted as it is, is far less worrisome than the destruction of the System they have carried out in order to get and keep unchecked power.

Though I suspect you don't have the Totalitarian Agenda without the Totalitarian Machinations Agaisnt the System.

That would be like having the Nazis try and win fair and square instead of rigging everything and inimtidating everyone.
