3. The Carter voting is retarded. The guy is just not spectacular
It goes without saying that he's not nearly as bad as the right wing douchbags make him out to be. But he did not perform the job of president anywhere near as well as he could have, and his post-presidential activities(a period often praised by wannabe independant-minded sounding right wingers, should really be taken with alot more critism.

Read this article: http://www.fair.org/media-beat/940921.html

snip>

But a decade after Carter left the Oval Office, scholar James Petras assessed the ex-president's actions overseas -- and found that Carter's image as "a peace mediator, impartial electoral observer and promoter of democratic values...clashes with the experiences of several democratic Third World leaders struggling against dictatorships and pro-U.S. clients."

From Latin America to East Africa, Petras wrote, Carter functioned as "a hard-nosed defender of repressive state apparatuses, a willing consort to electoral frauds, an accomplice to U.S. Embassy efforts to abort popular democratic outcomes and a one-sided mediator."

Observing the 1990 election in the Dominican Republic, Carter ignored fraud that resulted in the paper-thin victory margin of incumbent president Joaquin Balaguer. Announcing that Balaguer's bogus win was valid, Carter used his prestige to give international legitimacy to the stolen election -- and set the stage for a rerun this past spring, when Balaguer again used fraud to win re-election.

snip>

I mean, are that many people that dopey to put him above Ted Kennedy and successful, (more liberal) presidents like Clinton?

8. Thank you for calling me retarded...
and for supplying this quote for me to use against you: "Don't get so tolerant that you tolerate intolerance." Therefore, I will not tolerate your calling me retarded without returning the compliment.
You, sir, are a floozy. How do you like them apples, Hotshot?

Seeing his name on the byline is like have 10 sirens go off at once.

....Jimmy Carter is also one of the foremost humanitarians in the world. He is, and will always remain an honest, humble and decent man. I can't think of a better legacy to be remembered by.

4. Howard Dean changed my life.
He made me see what is like (finally) to be an American, at long last. I went from apathetic to rabid activist in about 1 month.

No other candidate has ever inspired my interest (nay, undying devotion) the way Dean did. I would not be here, doing all I'm doing, if it hadn't been for him.

The man is my god.

32. Amen to that
Howard Dean received my first direct presidental campaign contribution, in a large part because his energy and intensity reminded me of the late Paul Wellstone (who is, and always will, be my political god - Howard is my demi-god).

33. Jimmy Carter.
He's a true humanitarian. How many ex Presidents have spent their retirement building houses for the needy? 1, that I know of and that's Jimmy Carter. He has a heart of gold. He was not a good president because, IMCPO, he is so kind. Too nice to be prez.

37. Admire to me is a big word
I can like some one and not admire them. I can suport someone and not admire them.

I answered Jimmy Carter. Even though he made some bad mistakes as President, I admire him. He is a good and honorable man.

I don't admire bosses who have affairs with the help.

I don't admire former Knightriders of the Ku Klux Klan.

I don't admire people who got thrown out of college for cheating.
