NEW YORK (Reuters) -- The U.S. Army has long lured recruits with the slogan "Be All You Can Be," but now soldiers and their families can receive plastic surgery, including breast enlargements, on the taxpayers' dime.

The New Yorker magazine reports in its July 26th edition that members of all four branches of the U.S. military can get face-lifts, breast enlargements, liposuction and nose jobs for free -- something the military says helps surgeons practice their skills.

But the ad should be presented as "and have a chance at getting plastic surgery!" so that it's not immediately obvious that the reconstructive "plastic" surgery was to make it so that people could look at the wounded soldier again without puking.

I feel a letter to the editor of our local paper coming on. What a colossal waste of the taxpayer's money. There is no justification for this crap. They need the practice? How about operating on civilians that have life threatening diseases etc. that need surgery and can't afford it because they have no health care insurance? We're paying their f**cking salaries, why don't they do something useful? :mad: :mad: :mad:
