The Daily Show Withdrawal - Anybody else feeling it?

I always hate it when they take time off. I miss Jon and crew when they are not there. I'd be willing to bet they are taking the time off to prep for the convention, but DAMN!! I got a wicked Jon jones that is just not sated by reruns.

In the rerun on Monday, he talked a lot about his new baby. (It was new to me; I was in Alberta all of last week.) Is he taking time off for the baby?

9. They only bash in areas where it's needed...

After watching TDS since Jon took over, the trend in Dem Bashing that I have noticed is that they generally bash Dems for seeming weak or indecisive. I say that is completely fair. Somebody needs to light a fire under them. Somebody needs to encourage the growth of big hairy huevos.

He won't bash the Dems about Sandy Berger, for example. He'll bash them about rolling over and not asking why the case was popped right before the 9/11 Commission gives its report.

He does some "Kerry is dry" jokes sometimes. Though when Kerry explains to 8 year old kids about his running mate's wife's name. . . dude needs to get some more PR people stat. The thing is that if he DOESN'T do those pieces, then he makes the show completely partisan, and he's no better than Faux News.
